He has no teeth and is 16 years old. He's very affectionate, and he is one of my new roommates. Here he demonstrates his ability to get all up in my Kool-Aid.

Here are pictures of Cosmo the cat taken during the month of March 2023 at home in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He is approaching his 17th birthday in early May, but last year, the vet noticed all sorts of old cat problems. He has cataracts, is on thyroid medicine and eating wet food - and that makes him very happy. Recently, he had a sore over his right eye. We are watching it and hoping it goes away.

My 20 year old cat (Smarty) sitting on my knee, my dad took this shot.

Malcolm is very old, nobody is sure how old

Poor old Malcolm just wants a rest and I keep shoving a camera in his face!

Difficult subject: gray cat, bright sunshine. I think I messed with this too much in Lightroom.

Aside from the contrast, there was absolutely no hope of getting him to keep his eyes open. ("Getting...sooooo...sleeeeepy.")

Shadow definitely enjoyed the sunshine today.

Bingo the poodle and EZ the cat take a nap together. EZ's 23 years old, so he pretty much doesn't care who he sleeps with.

This old cat always comes for, mostly, dinners at the back of our house! He's been patronizing us for three years! I love him so much! =)

P.S. Too much noise in this one ... I'm still trying to figure out how to use my camera and lens ... But, I hardly take pictures at night without any natural lighting LOL!!

His first day back home from the vet, and we're both getting ready for bed.

Un gato viejo y arisco, con actitud!

Lydia just passed away, and I am so grateful to have met her and be able to take her picture with this family. Now they can always remember her.

Here are pictures of Cosmo the cat taken during the holidays ending with New Year's Day, 2023. They were at home in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He is a good looking 16 year old cat, but last year, the vet found all sorts of old cat problems. He has cataracts, is on thyroid medicine and eating wet food - and that makes him very happy. I want to showcase him for the album for this calendar year's Project 365. What better way than to make him the picture of the day!

His name comes from something my mom nicknamed him when he was just a kitten. We didn't think we'd keep him and his siblings, and my mom wanted to leave the naming up to the future owners. We only ended up giving two of the four kittens away, and kept the remaining two. They were both gray, so my mom distinguished them by their features--one had a broader face, and was the "face kitty," the other had a longer nose, thus "nose kitty."

The names stuck. No matter what renaming we did (Smokey and Dusty didn't work afterall). So we had Nose and Face.

Nose passed away a few years ago, after some successful years of being a diabetic kitty. But here is Face, still going strong

"What is that thing and why do you have it jammed in my face?"

This is my friend Jonny Culture's very old cat, he's had a tough life and came to Jonny in a sad state and Jonny has looked after him very well indeed.

Here are pictures of Cosmo the cat taken during the months of August through November 2022 at home in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He is a good looking 16 year old cat, but this year, the vet found all sorts of old cat problems. He has cataracts, is on thyroid medicine and eating wet food - and that makes him very happy. Also some pictures here of his brother Runyon.

Mahmoud ain't a kitten no more.

Poor girl had 6 back molars removed. She had a bad case of gingivitus!Maybe now she will eat. I've been trying to photo her nose. She used to be one tough cat and it shows.
