Shaggy Inkcap / coprinus comatus. Elvaston, Derbys. 05/12/14. I haven't found many of these this autumn but today I came across three. The elongated scaly cap gradually opens outwards and starts to ingest itself, releasing a black inky fluid containing the spores. Fascinating stuff.
