There was no running water, just a well to draw water and a stove to heat it on. The loo was a very clean and non-smelly compost toilet.

A wonderful store, with vintage fixtures and things for sale, as well as a special place for memories. Long story short-the owners invited us in, in spite of being closed and shared the story of their son, whose goal it was to restore this historic place. They took us through the store and told us stories, and answered our questions, even though they were closed. There story is at once sad, and inspiring. There son died tragically in a swimming accident in Asia, after completing an assignment for the Japanese Network he was working for. They are trying to keep their son's dream alive.
