Our Off the Grid, (No power due to PNM Mixup) March Monthly Meeting at Quelab. We were lighted and our teleconference laptop was running off of a inverter and a deep cycle battery. Internet was running of of a 12v battery powering our spare dsl modem.

Owners/builders Charlie Weiss and Katharine Lawrence work in the kitchen while their daughter Julia plays with Jenny on radiant heated concrete floors in their new certified LEED platinum home. Captured rain water is heated with the help of a groundwater heat pump, powered by photovoltaic solar panels, which then flows through tubes in the floor. The concrete is partially made with fly ash, a byproduct of coal burning.

We towed the '49M frrom the AZ border back to Pasadena with a Ford F550 Stake-bed truck we rented from Galpin Studio Rentals. Between the truck & the trailer, we were pushing 50' of vehicle.

Did we mentioned that the trailers got vandalized almost immediately after they arrived @ Armory NW. Some kids jumped the fence and smashed all the original windows on both trailers (the '53IM, too). Thankfully, we were insured to the teeth and got shatterproof lexan windows out of the whole ordeal... although it took over 6 months to get them fabricated.
