"Trunks were commonly used for transporting valuables like business papers and personal belongings at a time when lawyers, ministers, merchants and planters traveled widely to conduct business in rural communities and cities.
In its original condition this trunk was a handsome piece -covered with an animal hide that was secured to the wood frame with brass tracks over leather strips that also identified the owner with tacks forming the CC. Other special feathers are the four iron plates, an iron lockplate with an offset forged iron lock, fold-down iron handles and wooden runners on the bottom."

Small table chests were used for letters and personal items of value. The leather is nailed down with brass tacks in a decorative manner. This chest functioned as a lock box for its owner, but was also designed for display. "
Looking for a model !!!! I had only myself and the bathroom mirror to test a new lens the Nikkor 105 mm/2,8 N. This lens is really great, I could even blur one of my eyes with the DOF.
I'll be using it this week-end for a portrait shooting session, I'm really excited.
Notice the nail inside the batten, this represents an offset data point that appears to be in error, in that it distorts an otherwise fair stem curve.

Willem Smits is de zoon van Jan Smits en kleinzoon van Willem Hendrik Smits en Johanna Christina Smits-Muller.
Deze prenten zijn gemaakt toen Willem in de jaren '70 of '80 in Gorinchem bij een drukkerij werkte (dat zal Snep Offset kunnen zijn), waarna hij later zelfstandige reclametekenaar is geworden.

Pattern: Offset Wraplan with elephant chart from Rowan Zoo vest. Elephant chart was condensed a bit for size.
Yarn: Elle Elite DK in natural, denim and forest.
After blooming twice and the leaves flopped excessively, I removed all the leaves from the plant and while I was at it, plucked off the offsets that this species seems more apt to produce than G. liboniana.
Here they are all cleaned up.
This bulb species is endemic to the Atlantic Forest of Brazil where it is threatened by deforestation.
