Fabulous views to the south over Byous Butte and Hewitt Canyon from the flanks of 5,557 foot Montana Mountain.
Another view to the south. You can just make out the ribbon of the trail we had followed winding through Hewitt Canyon.
After not needing 4WD through Hewitt Canyon, we found it very necessary on the loose dirt, steep inclines and hairpin curves we encountered on the way up the mountain.
The obligatory Jeep-on-the-trail pic, in front of Roblas Butte, which was named for a family that owned a great deal of land in the area, if I recall correctly.
