Andal WDG3A Shakti 13262 at Chittaurgarh Junction with train 19414, the Weekly Kolkata - Ahmedabad "Sare Jahan Se Achha" Express on Monday 19th March 2019. The diesel now works to/from Barkakana Junction, where it then sits for a day and a half before returning. An electric does the 380 kms each way to/from Kolkata.
A surprise offlink (the train's booked an Abu Road WDM3A) it was running 8.5 hours late, some of the delay was down to the massive engineering possession south of COR combined with the electrification CRS inspection also stopping the job, the rest might have been loco failure or just the general lassitude that seems to blight some long distance non-priority Expresses.
Having festered around Chittaurgarh for 4 hours waiting for an Alco to turn up going north (and watching the farce as what was left of the service disintergrated) I was very pleased with this green beast when a train I could do did finally appear. I took it to Bhilwara for dud WDM3A 14121 back and then called it a day, such was the utter mess the trains were in. Just two locos and 110 kms of travel - possibly the worst day's cranking I'd ever managed in India!
After catching a couple of electric offlinks of the morning, it was the time for the diesel one. The diesel hunk WDP-4D 40395 from Krishnarajapuram Diesel Loco Shed leads the 22498 Tiruchchirapalli - Sriganganagar HumSafar Express as offlink, fiercely negotiating the curve blowing all the dust on to my camera

ALCo technology driven, Ex Ludhiana, Ratlam (RTM) WDM-3A # 16171 rising up as offlink towing India’s longest running Duronto, 12284 Hazrat Nizamuddin - Ernakulam Duronto Express. Though the entire livery was unique but notices the different shades of Duronto livery on all coaches.

Rebuilt ALCo WDG-3A 14842 from New Guwahati of Northeast Frontier Railway leads the Western Railways train & my favorite 19568 Okha - Tuticorin Vivek Express as offlink. Running quite aggressively, it covered the delay of more than an hour to a delay of less than 30 mins

A very impressive and shinning JHS WAG-7# 24521 in a WAP-4 Shell gets the 14314 Bareilly Lokmaya Tilak Terminus Express at 100kph at Odha station. It was running 15 minutes before time. This place is 199kms from Mumbai Cst on Mumbai Cst – Bhusaval section.
