35 YEARS LATER WHERE IS THE PEACE?
The East Side Gallery is an international memorial to freedom and the longest remaining stretch of the Berlin Wall in its original position. This section of the wall is 1.3 km long and is entirely painted with graffiti by various artists, concerning themes such as peace or the fall of the wall following the end of the so-called Cold War.
The back side was painted in 1990 and has been considered a protected monument since 1992.
Rosemarie Schinzler was born in Tübingen in 1949 and has lived in Fribourg, in southwestern Germany, since 1971. She has been working as an independent artist and art therapist since 1996.
She painted the works “Wachsen lassen” (Let it Grow) and “Alles offen” (All Open) at the East Side Gallery around 1990.

Deckenfresko in der Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche auf dem Kalvarienberg in Bad Tölz.
Die Kreuzkirche gliedert sich durch je drei Bogenstellungen an den vier Seiten. Im Vorraum zeigt sich eine Orgelempore, nördlich ein erhöhter Chor mit Kreuzaltar und darunter die Grabkapelle. An beiden Seiten befinden sich Treppenabgänge zur Hl. Stiege, das Obergeschoss dient als Oratorium. Darunter befindet sich die Eremitengruft. Fresken wurden dort 1785 von Joseph Matthäus Ott geschaffen, das Chorfresko 1880 durch Joseph Sattler erneuert. Aus demselben Jahr stammt der Hochaltar mit Kreuzreliquie. Zwei Seitenaltäre dienen als Reliquienschreine für die Heiligen Regina und Thekla.
