Staplehurst's Will Offen and his passenger Sam Black trundle over to the starting gate for a 1000cc sidecars heat during the seventh Master of Midshires Grasstrack Championship at Victory Field, Ashorne, Warwickshire. Unfortunately, only one of the classification finals, the 250cc solos, was run because the meeting had to be abandoned after 40 of 46 scheduled races owing to rider concerns over the dangers posed by uncontrollable dust. Admission was £15 and a 32-page programme sold for £2. Estimated attendance was about 1,500. The meeting was staged in memory of the late Peter Maddison, a generous sponsor of grasstrack clubs and riders, who died in 2016.

St. Augustine's Church (1850)
Gorgeous Rococo altars mainly from the workshop of Johann Georg Wolfgang van der Auwera the church of St. Augustine yet in the first half of the 20th century adorned.
The Augustinian church is located in the old town of Würzburg. The Order of St. Augustine in its monastery church offers a diverse pastoral offer. The location between Dominican square and Dominican alley also points out that here until the secularization the Dominican order was situated. Only in 1813 the Augustinians here moved in, before the Augustinian monastery of St. George was situated at the corner Augustinians street/Wirsberg road.
Pastoral offer
The range of pastoral offers of the Augustinian Order includes offering sermons, devotions, confessions and church music as well as fasting courses and work of mourning. The church no parish is assigned, the offers are designed openly and invite all interested.
History
Church
The church was built in the Romanesque style and received in Baroque period a redesigned façade according to plans of Balthasar Neumann. The church first was consecrated Pauli conversion. Even after the arrival of the Augustinians the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul was still celebrated. Only in the 1960s, an application was submitted to the Roman Congregation of Rites to officially bear the Holy Augustine as church patron.
The church and monastery in the bomb night of 16 March 1945 were severely damaged and then rebuilt. Since then, the building has been renovated several times, most recently with interior reconfiguration and general renovation of the Klais organ in 2011.

Augustinerkirche (um 1850)
Prachtvolle Rokoko-Altäre vor allem aus der Werkstatt von Johann Georg Wolfgang van der Auwera schmückten die Augustinerkirche noch in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts.
Die Augustinerkirche befindet sich in der Würzburger Altstadt. Der Augustinerorden bietet in seiner Klosterkirche ein vielfältiges pastorales Angebot. Der Standort zwischen Dominikanerplatz und Dominikanergasse weist noch darauf hin, dass hier bis zur Säkularisation der Dominikanderorden angesiedelt war. Erst 1813 zogen die Augustiner hier ein, zuvor befand sich das Augustinerkloster St. Georg an der Ecke Augustinerstraße/Wirsbergstraße.
Pastorales Angebot
Zum pastoralen Angebot des Augustinerordens zählen neben Gottesdiensten, Andachten, Beichtgelegenheit und Kirchenmusik auch Fastenkurse und Trauerarbeit. Der Kirche ist keine Pfarrei zugeordnet, die Angebote sind offen gestaltet und laden alle Interessierten ein.
Geschichte
Kirche
Die Kirche wurde im romanischen Stil erbaut und erhielt im Barock eine neugestaltete Fassade nach Plänen von Balthasar Neumann. Die Kirche war zunächst Pauli Bekehrung geweiht. Auch nach dem Einzug der Augustiner wurde das Fest der Bekehrung des Hl. Paulus weiterhin begangen. Erst in den 1960er Jahren wurde ein Antrag bei der römischen Ritenkongregation gestellt, den Hl. Augustinus offiziell als Kirchenpatron zu führen.
Kirche und Kloster wurden in der Bombennacht vom 16. März 1945 schwer beschädigt und danach wieder aufgebaut. Seitdem wurde der Bau mehrfach renoviert, zuletzt mit Umgestaltung des Innenraums und Generalsanierung der Klais-Orgel im Jahr 2011.

Zur Baugeschichte des bis 1803 bestehenden Vorgängerklosters an der Augustinerstraße kann unter Augustinerkloster St. Georg eingesehen werden.

Dies ist sozusagen ein "Selbstbedienungsmuseum", die Tür ist offen, drinnen ist niemand, der Eintritt ist frei, das Licht muß man sich selber anmachen... Spenden sind erwünscht.
Ein nettes, kleines Museum in der Nähe der Bauhütte der Wiesenkirche.

Soest - Green Sandstone Museum
This is sort of a "self-service museum". The door is open, nobody in there, no entrance fee, you have to switch the light on yourself... donations are welcome.
A nice, little museum near the church Saint Mary in the Meadow.
