SFWD crew work on capping off 100 year old utility valve damaged by contractor working in the street. Look closely and you can see the machinist on the left carrying the top of the gate valve, he will make a plate to cap off the top of the valve. The sleeve on the old 12" water main is a two piece bolt style, that has a cast lead seal to accommodate imperfections in the pipe. Soon all of this piping will be removed and new piping will serve this area for the next 100 years.

Currently on board Victory Liner 7065 from Sampaloc. About the suspension, it was good as compare to the 1st batch. Off we go! YOLO! :-)
well today was possibly the hottest day ever in T.O. (at least it felt that way). Oh and plus there was a power outage, so I decided to cool off with the hose

This is "MAX" a resident at the WBS. These " TAWNY EAGLES " are native to Africa. I saw several when we were there. MAX likes to flair out and yell a little bit also. Though not a lot of color his tan color is beautiful to see in real life. I "fell in love " with MAX the first time I saw him a few years ago.

We dropped off Molly at Camp Manidokan for her first time at sleep-away camp. No contact whatsoever with us for the week. She’s got a friend to keep her company and is looking forward to lots of fun.
This is the chain that is located at Fort Point in San Francisco near the edge of water. Probably been photographed for years.
SK cabbed Mercedes seem to be emigrating to Africa as fast as they can be found so it was great to see another one still in action yesterday - especially an 8 wheeler.

On looking a bit closer, this one is a rare (for the UK) 3234 model. "32" indicating 32 tonnes and "34" indicating the 340bhp 6 cylinder engine.
Most Mercs in the UK seem to be "25" models like this one below:

Dating from 1996 and very enthusiastically owned from new by the current owners, the vehicle is equipped for just about anything with its roll on/off body and rear mounted forklift - With its relative lack of electronics, M50MRB will be kept in service for as long as possible.
Cheers to the owners for taking the time to chat yesterday !
My first ever photo posted to Flickr taken on my phone. Left the office thinking I’d take some shots on my XT4, but turns out I left my SD cards at home. Took my phone out instead and was pleasantly surprised at what this phone can do. Do we even need big cameras anymore?

So, I'm driving down Knights of Columbus Blvd at the airport and see this old purple fire truck sitting in the far edge of the parking lot of the BNA business building. It's just sitting there with graffiti all over most of it. What confuses me is why it's just sitting there in the parking lot of this really nice looking office tower. Strange...

After we come in from playing ball she usually has a long nap. It was a good opportunity to photograph her lovely red coat.
Week 36
My 21st brithday. This week was my birthweek and what a weird birthweek it was. It almost feels like none of what happened happened. I started the week off in New Hampshire filming a short film with Teddy and a group of amazing people. My birthday in particular wasn't anything too spectacular. Just another shoot day. Teddy and I did go out and take photos but none of them really came out to my liking. It was a great night of exploration though which was nice. I came back from New Hampshire on Wednesday and stopped by George at college and picked up Scott before adventuring around the Seaport which is one of my favorite places to take photos! The brand new glass buildings right on the water make for some beautiful bokeh and lighting situations. I ended up coming back to see George the next day as well just for fun and we took more photos and explored a bit more. Now I am in Chicago on a business trip and we start shooting tomorrow. I can't wait to get back in the field. What a crazy week I have ahead of me.
I can't wait to see what this next week will bring!
This amazing vehicle was a concept for a high-mobility off-road farmer’s runaround. Only one was built and a lot of testing was carried out at Gaydon.
Work started in 1998 by rooting around local scrap yards where a Subaru Sumo was found. The suspension, engine, gearbox and controls were adapted to fit into a space frame with a pivot just behind the driver. It was pretty unique at the time, with springs on all four corners and the central articulation.
At the time it was built, Gators and quad bikes were still fairly new on the scene and starting to become popular, so arguably Land Rover’s timing was right. However, it did not go into production.
The development engineers had a bit of a soft spot for it, though, so it was squirreled away which is why it survives today.
