I felt a little sad tonight when I dropped Ozzie and Vinny off at the vets.
They will both be neutered in the morning, and hopefully they'll be back home, safe and sound.
Hands Off! Protest in Vero Beach, Florida on April 5, 2025. A large crowd of over 2000 showed up to protest Trump and Elon Musk policies and the havoc caused by DOGE. This was one of 1200 locations where people raised their voices across the nation with more than 5 million participating. Resist!

"Off Duty"
Poppy is gorgeous to take photographs off, this is her first ever shoot & I'm very pleased with this set outcome.
- Okay, I'll be honest, I've cropped this image. Because, with the original, I didn't really like how I set it out. (The image wasn't straight) But I've cropped is as straight as possible, and I think it works perfectly!
(Believe it or not, Poppy & I was both tipsy!)

The remarkable spectacle of three locomotives in steam at Barrington cement works during the morning of 11th September 2003, with all three at working steam pressure and ready to move off for quarry duties. Left to right are Hawthorn Leslie 0-4-0 saddle tank 'Singapore' (Works No.3865 built in 1936), Avonside 0-4-0 saddle tank 'Dora' (Works No.1973 built in 1927), and Newcastle-built Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns 0-4-0 saddle tank 'Birkenhead' (Works No.7386 built in 1948). Partly visible behind is one of the latter fleet of quarry locos which replaced the Rustons, Thomas Hill Vanguard 4-wheel diesel-hydraulic (Works No.127V built in 1963 and rebuilt 240V in 1972).

It was late, and Maurice knew that if he didn’t get to sleep soon, the morning would come and he would not have enough energy to work in Santa’s Workshop. He climbed his way up the stairs to the attic bedroom with Bentley in his arms, hugging him tightly as he went. “I’m so glad that engineer brought you to me,” he whispered. He didn’t want any of the other elves to hear him. They were too busy making a mess in the kitchen, so he was able to make his way up without being noticed.
The noise in the kitchen, however, was too loud! He could still hear them drop things onto the floor. “I do hope it will be easy for them to clean up their mess,” he sighed as he drifted off to sleep.
But then a loud crash woke him!
