The Oculus is the head house, or main hall, of the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, the formal name of the new PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) station. The Hub was designed by Santiago Calatrava, following the destruction of World Trade Center after the September 11 attack.
The structure also includes the Westfield World Trade Center mall.
Workers begin preparations to install a new oculus in the Rotunda as part of continuing renovations.

We toured the galleries with The Tangential, got our game on with Source Comics and Games, made our own fantasy art with Taylor Baldry, connected art and science with special mini-tours, and dressed to impress in our best bow ties and suspenders.
Then, we forged our own pocket protectors, marveled at PowerPoint Karaoke, tested out Oculus Rift and other tech projects with Best Buy and the MIA, got crafy with the Crafty Geeks, and collaborated on cartooning with Autoptic.
