Part of a horse's training is to accept obstacles. The slack line shows that the horse is more than willing to step up on this springy step.

I do veer off topic here and there, but this piece discusses those ever-present obstacles that get in the way of being creative.

A disclaimer: I did use a little Photoshop in the bottom right-hand corner in order to keep some of my novel ideas "secret."

With a little time, and perseverance, it doesn't have to be.

This lovely chunky boulder in Pacific Spirit Park caught our attention on our weekend walk. I think this was Council trail... a trail we tread all the time, but on this day, seemed to have me mystically confused – I thought we were on a new trail I'd never travelled before, heading North. My theory is that the rain had transformed it into something I didn't recognize – a lovely, magical surprise.

Ok so maybe it is a tenuous link, but there are obstacles in this image. Not only is there a white car blocking the path, but there is also this mysterious veil blocking our attempts to delve too much further into the image. Oh yeah and Red is the universal colour of stop - and love, which can be thought of an obstacle :oP

I'll try come up with another soon but I just love this image so I thought it was a contender
