Location: Scarborough Beach near Cape Point.
Description: Here is another shot from Wednesday afternoon’s (Earth Day) sunset photoshoot with Andre, John, Joy, Jolene and Jenny.
The tide was going out when we arrived at the beach, so there were plenty of interesting rock-pools to choose from. Some of the best pools were practically unreachable though... this maze of slippery wetness proved just a bit too challenging for me (and my expensive Nikon)! :)

For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way. Something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. ~Fr. Alfred D’Souza
Right now there are obstacles that are seriously real here, that need dealing with....my daughter, Lileigh’s mama is due in February with another grand-baby....but is in danger of a very premature delivery, i am staying with her as much as i can to care for Lileigh Grace, since she is being confined to bed rest by her doctors. She has had injections to help the development of the babies lungs and is on medication to stop the contractions. i ask for prayers that things can be controlled so that everything turns out for the best.
this week has been quite stressful with 5 days of no power and then this, and i am exhausted. i am trying to keep up with everything that i can, and still stay well and healthy so that i can be useful. On a happy note, my LLC went through and my papers have come from the state...i am the proud but exhausted owner of my very own business! if you could throw in a prayer or two for success for me i would be tickled....it doesn’t need to be riches ....just enough that i could make it a meager living, doing what i adore!
thank you all, and i will be checking in when i can via iphone or computer as i get a little down time between cooking, cleaning up and best of all, being the Chief Entertainment Director for Lileigh Grace, as i try to keep her world as “normal” as humanly possible right now. :)

When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.

I'm not really a 35mmer and usually just walk around with it set to f1.4 with a couple of ND filters on and look for a line traffic cones to shoot.

I'm building a physical fitness facility for the US Navy at NSA Panama City. This facility trains combat divers for the Navy, the US Marines, the US Air Force and Coast Guard.
This obstacle course is a part of the project. It's not finished in these shots, there will be a 6" bed of cypress mulch chips placed down the course next week.
I was in the Marines more decades ago than I want to admit. I could have run this course without much effort then but.....

I've been experimenting with pinhole photography (with stupidly high ISO) of late. Just because.
