"Observe the marvels as they happen around you. Don't claim them. Feel the beauty moving through and be silent."
Rumi (1207-1273) Persia
Found this rose a few weeks ago in a park in Cobourg.
"A wise old owl sat on an oak.
The more he saw the less he spoke.
The less he spoke, the more he heard.
Why can't we all be like that bird?"
(found in the depths of the internet)
- It's from Charles M. Schulz-
„Eine weise alte Eule saß auf einer Eiche.
Je mehr sie sah, desto weniger sprach sie.
Und je weniger sie sprach, desto mehr hörte sie.
Warum können wir nicht alle wie dieser Vogel sein?“

Polar stratospheric clouds (PSCs) are clouds in the winter polar stratosphere at altitudes of 15,000–25,000 m (49,000–82,000 ft). They are best observed during civil twilight, when the Sun is between 1 and 6 degrees below the horizon, as well as in winter and in more northerly latitudes.[1] One main type of PSC is made up mostly of supercooled droplets of water and nitric acid and is implicated in the formation of ozone holes.[2] The other main type consists only of ice crystals which are not harmful. This type of PSC is also referred to as nacreous (/ˈneɪkriəs/, from nacre, or mother of pearl, due to its iridescence).

This pink dolphin was observed at the Seatran Ferry terminal at Don Sak in Surat Thani Province. This was the best series of a few unsuccessful attempts to capture a feeding dolphin,
Wikipedia: The Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin (Sousa chinensis) is a species of humpback dolphin inhabiting coastal waters of the eastern Indian and western Pacific Oceans. This species is often referred to as the Chinese white dolphin in mainland China, Macau, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan as a common name. Some biologists regard the Indo-Pacific dolphin as a subspecies of the Indian Ocean humpback dolphin (S. plumbea) which ranges from East Africa to India. However, DNA testing studies have shown that the two are distinct species. A new species, the Australian humpback dolphin (S. sahulensis), was split off from S. chinensis and recognized as a distinct species in 2014. Nevertheless, there are still several unresolved issues in differentiation of the Indian Ocean-type and Indo-Pacific-type humpback dolphins.
An adult Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin is grey, white or pink and may appear as an albino dolphin to some. Populations along the coasts of China and Thailand have been observed with pink skin. The pink color originates not from a pigment, but from blood vessels which were overdeveloped for thermoregulation.

Mi dà sempre un brivido quando osservo un gatto che sta osservando qualcosa che io non riesco a vedere.

Wall plaque under my patio is often commented on by guests. They either assimilate to, or resist feelings of association. As a sober host, I just like it.

This is one of my little models called an Oryx. They live in
Africa. But since I don't have photos of Africa, I placed the Oryx in one of the photos I took while walking the Black Diamond Trail in Upstate, NY.

Photographer under observance and more "looking up" at the Upper West in Berlin's City West.
At a height of 119 meters (390 feet), the Upper West is the fourth-highest building in Berlin. The most prominent tenant is the hotel chain Motel One which occupies 19 of altogether 33 floors and offers 582 rooms. The Upper West's tower consists of two parallel structures, each of the same height but not symmetrical. The white, slightly shiny façade (which can be seen in the reflections) is interspersed with windows throughout.
Happy Sliders Sunday, everyone, and I wish you a great new week ahead!
