I don't know what denomination this church is. A brass plaque on the door indicated that it was under the care of a property management company.

Going out at the hottest time of a summer day sure takes courage, but the blue skies make it always worth the effort.

Today I returned to a spot where I recently found some brown argus and icarus blue butterflies flying around.

-

Unfortunately most of them seemed to have stayed home except for this one brown argus butterfly, the size of a coin.

Merlin observed sitting in the upper branches of a maple tree or flying in the Rockford, Illinois. Not able to see any of the juveniles tonight so they may have done their post breeding dispersal.

Look into my Eye!

We have a little pond in the park by our house. Reeds, trees, water, ducks, and even a muskrat or two.

This series was shot in a 20 minute span on Sunday evening. A bit of a variation/interpretation of the Studio 26 assignment based on Freeman Patterson's "Learning to Observe". I started with the Hula hoop concept (without the hoop and allowing myself a picot foot like in basketball). Images 1-11 are from that spot, then the muskrat in #11 arrived, so I followed him for a bit and grabbed images #12-14 and #17-20 on the wander, with the birch tree in #15-16 within the range of my imaginary hoop.
