Happy Fence Friday! Though it's actually the railing

Happy weekend to you, my friends :)

Wishing all Flickr friends and the employees who make this site amazing, a healthy and Happy New Year! Personally, I'm not making any resolutions - just hoping for more kindness in the world and trying to do my part to make it happen.

This image was taken a year ago last fall. The original had the color you see here but just hints of it. I boosted them for an HSS theme.

A view of Lake Tahoe from the Heavenly Village gondola observation deck. The observation deck is about half way up the gondola ride.

This observation deck at Niagara Falls would be a great place to observe the falls. I have never been below but I did observe this wondrous scene from above.

Happy Friday :)

Spectacular cloud display seen from the Weather Station Observatory on Mikazuki-yama, Chichi-jima (in the Ogasawara Islands chain, Tokyo Prefecture).

The original showed a slight distortion (concave horizon). I considered removing it, but then opted for actually increasing it a bit to add some dynamics to the scene.

Watch out for the fall as there are almost no walls in this building! Where there are nets, it will bounce LOL By the way, the highest place is the moon. enjoy SL's 19th Birthday together!

この建物に壁はほぼないので落下に気を付けて!網があるところは跳ねますlol ちなみに一番高い場所は月です。SLの19回目のバースディをみんなで楽しみましょう

A huge thanks to yazoo for always graciously lending us the HAKONIWA SIM as a production site (and usually also as a playground)! I can't tell you how many times I have copied and rebuilt this building...

箱庭 SIMを製作場所(普段は遊び場とも)をいつも快く貸してくれるyazooさんに多大なる感謝!何回この建物をコピーして作り直したか…

Have a nice day :)

The Rotterdam harbour is best explored by touring thru it. But a visit to Portlantis is still vital, because it offers an excellent overview using its observation deck. And on the five floors below, the harbour's technical and logistical stories are told. MVDRV designed the building.

Shown here is the observation deck with a listening post to tap into the sea's stories.

This is number 13 of the MVDRV album and 387 of Rotterdam harbour & industry.

This is one of my 'secret' vantage points for shots of the harbour, the bridge, the city and the Opera House.

It is located up above Peter Gilmore's elite 'Quay' restaurant.

Often you need to evade security guards to ascend these steps.

But I live dangerously, lol.

On this occasion the deck was festooned with high-tech laser lighting equipment, pointed at the Opera House. They were preparing and practising for this weekend's laser show for the 50th anniversary of the Sydney Opera House. SO, I managed to fool the security guards - they saw my Canon DSLR and thought I was part of the laser camera crew - lol. Ha!!

And see the new lights on the Opera House. These are for the 50th anniversary. I will be returning on Saturday night under the cover of darkness to photograph the light/laser show. That's the plan.
