Project Objectives: Students will learn about change-makers in Massachusetts and leadership skills through the artist technique of a charcoal drawing transfer.

Summary: Students discussed change-makers in Massachusetts like Governor Deval Patrick and leadership skills like honestly, commitment, and even creativity. The students used charcoal to cover the back of their sheet depicting their change-maker. Placing another sheet underneath, each student outlined their figure in pencil which created a reflection of their figure onto the piece of paper underneath. Once each student made their transfer, oil pastels were used to color in their change-maker. To close, students discussed what things in their own neighborhood they would like to change and what type of skills they needed accomplish their goals.

You can find girls studying in our house’s study room at all hours of the day. I enjoy working on my assignments in the study room because there are many windows that make the environment a little less gloomy. The photo above shows an objective and point of view as the camera captures the girl studying on her computer. We can observe that the girl is studying; however, we cannot see exactly what she's studying because we have an objective point of view.
