Opening Ceremony

The objectives of the opening ceremony include welcoming participants as well as setting the framework for the Sixth Mediterranean Forest Week (MFW). This session will also inform participants of the global and regional com- mitments regarding climate change with an overview of the latest outcomes of the three Rio Conventions.

The Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), is hosting the Sixth edition of the Mediterranean Forest Week (VIth MWF) at the Grand Hills Hotel, Broumana, on 1–5 April 2019. The weeklong event brings together policy and decision makers, forest administrators, researchers, practitioners, donors, civil society organizations, and social and environmental based non–governmental organizations to share and promote the use of forest–based solutions to assist Mediterranean countries in the implementation of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.

My objective was to capture a very creative pose and incorporate light painting in an interesting way.

The subject was me with lights coming out of my mouth, like breathing fire.

My approach was actually in the moment, I quickly decided to open my mouth and told my friends to draw squiggly lines coming out. And it was executed perfectly.
