Charme of spring.
Warmer, softer, just beautiful.

It was really late for a second walk in the local park. A hectic, distressing day. so sought solace with Marnie by walking there (not far). Gradually, crows flew in and settled in the oak tree near our entrance. It was a magical sight. Can you see them ?
Another rather difficult day today, but never mind - this is my offering to you and I hope you like it !
Every fave and comment is deeply appreciated. Thank you for looking and take care of yourselves please.

Leaf Embrace...
The Winter this year so far has been brutal; strong winds, ice , rain, freezing rain., wind, and just ridiculously cold weather.
In the park the leaves on this one oak tree are still hanging on. we shall have to see if they can make it right through till spring without being swept away by an unusually bad winter.... 0ne bright spot at least is, at least we cant blame the weather on Covid .

... not really interested in our moral or aesthetic judgements. Sometimes, there is sheer, blind violence. Like in this scene. I have several times tried to capture the force at work here, but I think this image comes closest to what I feel. Leica M8, Elmar 50/2.8.
Prescribed burn area... Withlacoochee State Forest, Citrus County, Fl (Off the Florida National Scenic Trail)
Alone, or in groups, when it comes to photography, the mighty oak is my favorite of all the trees. Here, an ancient oak sprawls over a patch of barren hillside. This old warrior has obviously witnessed its share of harsh winters, yet it soldiers on, keeping a dutiful watch over the landscape.
Happy Slider's Sunday everyone.
