Asima Rau strode towards the Park gates on her steed, Ikira on hers. Muzzles snorted and buckles rattled with leather. Warm breath expelled from nostrils.
Ikira Karu nods silently to Asima as she rides along on Barum and they draw up in near perfect parallel behind the two women.
Myca Ling mused a moment. "Maybe. I dunno. We'll cross that when it comes to it. I jus' roll with the punches an' see..." Hearing horse hooves behind her causes her to trail off and glance over her shoulder, with a nod to both managers, as she smiled. "Need us outta the way?"
Asima Rau turned to Ikira, static crackling from her helm. "We're going on patrol for a short while. Call us if you see anything, including the one, please?"
Myca Ling offered a sharp nod to Asima. "Of course." She took a step back and waved Guin through the gates if she wished to stay, and not be trampled by horses as a bonus.
Ikira Karu's hand rises to her helm and a text message scrolls across the internal HUD. She makes hmming sort of dissatisfied noise followed by the trademark burst of static.
Guinevere Fouroux is so focused on Caitlin she doesn't notice for a moment the approach of two horses behind Cait. She looks up with a sort of wonder--they seemed both perfect and totally out of place, in the middle of the city. She doesn't know the people riding, but at Caitlin's wave she follows quickly.
Asima Rau: Her stallion's hooves picked up, and from far above Guin's face she saw the black shapes striding closer. A nod to her and that mechanical voice greeting with a note of eerie calm, "Welcome to the Park."
Ikira Karu nods to both woman, a shade more deeply to Cait, and follows.
Guinevere Fouroux waches closely, returning their nods, and her eyes follow as they disappear down the street. She looks back to Cait, pointing after them. "Who was that?" she asks. "And who's, 'the one'?"
Myca Ling smiles and dips her head in a nod to the two managers before shifting her gaze, trying to shake the curiosity from her countenance. "Park managers. Don't often leave the park on patrol, but sometimes..." She took a quick pause. "A fella in town been attackin' rangers one by one for some reason. Don't know why, aside from him bein' nutter."

Last picture from Gravesend's New Tavern Fort: a nut on a bolt and a washer in a wooden gun carriage, looking freshly maintained by the Volunteers and staff who keep the fort, grounds and exhibits open and lovely.

A wrinkly walnut shell. This shot fits the theme `Crinkled, Wrinkled, Folded or Creased'. Due to the image processing, it could also fit on the theme `Center Square B&W'.
Maybe it also contains a little bit of `Holiday Bokeh'. ;-)
