Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus!
A rusty nut with a view!
St David's Day spent looking for Daffodils but not finding any! A few miniature Roses initially but then the rusty nut was discovered!
Blue and Orange! Perfect :)
A Nut Hatch gets ready to bug out on a creek bridge railing.
People leave seeds for them on the posts.

After briefly sniffing here and there: success! There's the nut. It's quite hard to track them close in snow. The steps are very noisy...
A wrinkly walnut shell. This shot fits the theme `Crinkled, Wrinkled, Folded or Creased'. Due to the image processing, it could also fit on the theme `Center Square B&W'.
Maybe it also contains a little bit of `Holiday Bokeh'. ;-)
I wish you a happy Macro Monday and a great week.
I wish you also a happy and successful New Year 2019.
This is one of my favorite shots I took that day. The nut hatch flicks up and down the tree and it's often hard to get them in a good pose. This one stayed still for 10 seconds and I got multiple bursts with this one being the best lighting and clarity. No cropping and best viewed large.

Pine wood derby car made for the "Dad's Division" of son's Boy Scout derby race. Added bolt for the "Smile on Saturday" photo.
Hope it made you smile.
My first attempt at bird photography and this was my best shot, which I am very pleased with , it's a lot harder then you think,, don't know how long it will be before I can capture something in flight. LOL
One of my attempts at this weeks "Macro Mondays" theme "nuts".
Shot with a "KOMZ 106 mm F 5.6" lens on a Canon EOS R5.
Running out of time tonight, got to go to bed

A sentinel squirrel stands his post in front of Long's Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. Sorry but this pass is closed. You’ll have to find an alter-nut route ... unless of course you're willing to part with some cash-ews :) Happy Friday friends!

Sometimes I find myself shaking my head at the decisions that are made in this magnificent structure.
I shot this in the 'blue hour', just minutes after the sun had set to the West of Canberra, Australia. With the high level of security patrolling the precinct, I was surprised that I wasn't asked to leave!
