Oopps sorry Mrs.Squirrel , thought you had a harmonica there for a moment . Now I can see it is a nut from the hazel tree you are sat in ,and no ordinary tree either . This is a Contorted Hazel where all the branches and twigs are all twisted .

Very quick stop off in Onehunga on the way home tonight as I was passing the Manukau Harbour view. These rays burst through and being a sky nut a few hand held shots with the Grad Filter had to be done. The crepusculars were all over within a few mins sadly.

A Chestnut-mandibled toucan at Manuel Antonio Nature Reserve & Wildlife Refuge, Costa Rica. A male toucan averages 55-60 cm (21-23.6 inches) in length while females are slightly smaller at around 50-53 in length. The bill can grow upto 20 cm (7.8 inches) long.

Red squirrel at Mountstewart. I never have much luck here with the red squirrels. Unlike the Donegal red squirrels that are so cheeky that I am sure would nick your camera if you didn’t pay attention! But I liked this guy's ear tufts.
