It's been a while. This is the top of my computer desk. The springtime sun has perked up the bonsai and the cacti; they'll be going outside soon. Also featured is my impractically large and ever-growing shot glass collection.

Note that the entrance pillars are much taller than today, there are no trees round the front and the entrance door is no longer facing the High Street but now faces the War Memorial

I bought this at a Hallmark store in Lawrence,MA around 2000-2001 for 40% off.
It was old stock they had for about 10 years that they couldn't get rid of.
Note that putting the grey cabinet in front and tan box in back causes the bike to tip over. Most of the weight must go over the trailer axle to be stable.
I've been reading articles on how to clean dirty and yellowed LEGO bricks. Most people agree that hydrogen peroxide and that Billy Mays oxy cleaner does wonders. But that product isn't available here so I got the closest alternative, an oxy detergent.
Has anyone tried this method? I'd appreciate some feedback and tips before I test the two pieces in the photo. I've already tried to clean the bricks with soap and water (and some pretty major scrubbing), but they're still dirty.

Someone gave me a vintage cookbook (for Crisco!) and this note was tucked inside. I thought it was charming.

Walking down the street with my friend on the way to the Jazz Showcase we heard this beautiful singing...
This woman was just standing on the corner with two of her friends and really belting out some beautiful vocals...
She sounded amazing.
I got to her just as she'd finished singing and the people at an outdoor cafe were giving her an enthusiastic round of applause...
For a moment the street was alive with the sound of music...
This was that moment.
A 'SHOUT OUT' to my wonderful friend Anna Gay... one of the best photographers I know and an amazing person as well... she's gotta be the biggest sweetheart on flickr... Anna was just interviewed on a killer photography website... www.rocktheshotforum.com/
You should check it out... this girl is really going places!
