Yes let's meet autumn as our mid-autumn festival is coming! Things do converge mysteriously with or without you knowing or seeing, finding the connections is no big achievement but brings small pleasures to our lives.
I was in Seoul 2 weeks ago meeting Mr. Nam who's company Appree just launched "Leaf-it" and already shipped to Japan's Marcs International for distribution. The leaf post-it comes in 8 different types, each with various sizes and colors of leaves. I hope they are coming to our stores soon.
Two days ago I received a Mackinaw Autumn package from Field Notes, another hint of autumn coming, in colors I'm so very in love with. I regret that I missed their summer collection (Butcher Orange, Butcher Blue, Grass Stain Green). Hmmm.... so Tradio Nature just came to me, Leaf-it and Mackinaw Autumn are both on my desk now, they are all here to set something in motion, the welcoming of our 3,000 years old tradition, mid-autumn festival.
Tasty moon cakes await us, beautiful lanterns hanging all over the places, family gathering dinner and Chiu Chau tea ceremony at home..... such a pleasant anticipation. I particularly like what the shops do on Queen's Road West, about 5-6 stores normally selling incense for worship now hang hundreds of lanterns so beautifully which lighten up the streets. I was there with family on Sunday night, people were there lingering in such warm atmosphere. Tomorrow we will definitely go the park with our lanterns.
PS. My son told me something funny this evening: "God has no time to talk to us, because he has to make up some homework for us, so God is very difficult and we have to thank Him". Where did he get the ideas?

I don't usually have many notes in my purse but I advertised and sold some surplus furniture at the weekend so for the moment I have quite a few!

While walking through Millennium Park on my way home, a strange, but familar site was showing up underneath our beloved bean. The outdoor seating for the Park Grill had ice on it. I had a good stare at the ice thinking, "wow, ice skating is going to be back here soon."
Nobody was ice skating yet as it's not open yet and they are still working on it. And there was barely anyone outside. The reflection of the lights in the ice was really nice. Even though the bean was barely visible from where I was standing, I knew if I shot it with multiple exposures, the bean would be visible.
This shot took nine exposures as the bean was completely covered in a cloak of darkness, while the ice shone as bright as a full moon. Two completely opposite extremes on the spectrum of exposures. They all pulled together very well in the end. I just had to wait about 10 minutes for a couple standing at the bean's feance to leave. Well worth the wait.

Feuchte Ecke is located in a bend in the Voie Serpentine between curves 0 and 1, in an area where there were many shelters.
There was always a water point near the Lagers, whether in the form of a fountain, a drinking trough for the animals or a simple catchment like this one.
Today, many of the fountains and drinking troughs are almost intact, and a few provide occasional water.

Feuchte Ecke se situe dans un coude de la Voie Serpentine, entre les courbes 0 et 1, dans un secteur ou se trouvait un grand nombre d'abris.
Il y avait toujours un point d'eau à proximité des Lagers, sous la forme d'une fontaine, d'un abreuvoir destiné au animaux ou d'un simple captage comme celui-ci.
Aujourd'hui, bon nombre de fontaines ou d'abreuvoirs sont presque intacts, et quelques uns voient occasionnellement couler de l'eau.
