Today the Hereios of the We're Here! group are getting all topsy-turvy and turning photos upside down. This is a garden just off the Philosopher's Walk in Kyoto, and it's a superb spot. I hope to return to Japan in about a year's time, and if we go back to Kyoto I'll want to do the walk again.

Today the Hereios of the We're Here! group are enjoying a mixture of old and new: Past & Present; Now & Then. The house on the left has been in existence for many years, while the one on the right is newly built (and serves as a show home for the development).

Today the Hereios of the We're Here! group are infiltrating the Damn, I'm Tired group. I feel tired just thinking about www.flickr.com/photos/kipper75/ doing a marathon, half marathon, 10k and 5k in just four days.

According to Wikipedia, Jalfrezi recipes appeared in cookbooks of British India as a way of using up leftovers by frying them with chilli and onion. This English-language usage derived from the colloquial Bengali term jhāl porhezī: jhāl means spicy food; porhezī means avoid. Jalfrezi is usually prepared by stir-frying ingredients, a technique introduced to the region by Chinese cuisine.

Today-ish the Hereios of the We're Here! group are celebrating India and everything Indian, which happily coincided with our choice of chicken jalfrezi for dinner tonight.

The best way to enjoy a wet garden is through a glass ball positioned next to the window.

Today the Hereios of the We're Here! group are shedbanging, so that everyone can share my tingling and discomfort following dental surgery this afternoon. Fortunately I did my shedbanging before my surgery.

One of the quirks of the current lockdown rules is that the off-licence (Liquor Store) is able to open but most shops have to stay closed.

Seven years ago I asked an official at Newark Airport, New Jersey, how long it was taking to get to passport control (there was quite a long queue). Her rather unhelpful reply was: -

"It's a line. It takes as long as it takes."

This was the first image added to the Mnemonics, new and old group. It's a nice easy one to get things started.

This is to mark the visit of the We're Here! group to Faux Flemish, and the Weekly Alphabet Challenge: H is for Happy.

I am keen to improve my golf technique, and yesterday I bought Nick Faldo's 1989 book, Golf - The Winning Formula. There's a life-size photo of his hand to illustrate his advice on choosing the right grip size. My hand is of a similar size, though that's where the similarity ends. I'll need to study his book carefully if I'm going to make significant improvements.
