Going to miss Alaska with weather as wonderful as this. Will be traveling for a few weeks. I have a laptop to take with me, so I will be able to flickr occasionally:)
First sled run of the season. Almost everything is new. There is nervous anticipation and wondering who will work where and how it will all come together.
Sandy and Churrie are stepping up as leaders. They are as different as night and day.Yet I have a sense they will work well together.

After a long day, we were resting in our room, watching the clouds roll in and blanket the town. This was our view in the distance.
The gray buildings are the old Cable Car Service Station for the coal mines. But if you catch it in your periphery, you could totally be on planet Hoth with a group of AT-AT Walkers.
Also, the red and black building on the left is the northernmost church in the world.

North Pole is a Christmas theme park in Cascade, Colorado. The park opened in 1956.
My maternal grandparents visited the part during the summer of 1957.

I love wild irises and was delighted to see that they are beginning to bloom in the field where we train the dogs. I love it when a SOOC shot looks the way I saw it. Choose the one you like the most.
In July 1970, I visited North Pole in Colorado with my brother and his family and my maternal grandparents.
