I am sure this owl was wondering what kind of animal the photographer was. Walking on two legs, holding a black camera on a tripod, it must have been thoroughly confused.

Visit this location at North Pole - It's spring! in Second Life
Turquoise water, azure sky and lots of ice as a photographer basks while composing his shot. Looking a lot like a tropical lagoon, this is actually a pool formed by melting surface ice on the Polar Ice Cap in the Canadian High Arctic. kouroshmahboubian.com

One of my favourite subjects. At Raven Veterinary Clinic. Spring 2016.

Bjørndalen valley in Svalbard, Norway, one week after summer solstice. At 1300 km from the North Pole (about the same as the distance between Rome and Madrid), the place is surprisingly green and lively (I have seen plenty of Svalbard reindeers, two groups of Barnacle geese, and one Arctic fox) in the summer
Located near Ripley in Brown County, Ohio, the North Pole (or North Pole Road) Covered Bridge crosses Eagle Creek and was built in 1875. The 166-foot-long structure was built with a Smith truss and is open to traffic. I stopped by the bridge last month on the way home from a trip to the Buckeye State to visit family. Information from Covered Bridges: Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia by Miriam Wood and David Simmons.
- www.kevin-palmer.com - On my last night in Alaska I went to Chena Lake for a couple hours. I'm sure the aurora would have kept getting better, but I had to leave early since I'd be waking up at 4AM to catch my flight.
