I'm no bird photographer, but when this friendly little chickadee was looking for food just above my head, I gave it a go.

After a tiring evening having guests over, she could finally rest and improvised a little nook in the plush cover on the top of the couch.
The dunes at Donna Nook are the separation between the land and the sea, miles of flatness stretches out in front and behind. Donna Nook is a bombing range and the white squares in the distance are the huge targets on the beach.

I am re-arranging my man cave.
This is the new reading nook.
I have been removing a lot of the clutter.
In addition to this corner, and just opposite it,
is my computer/desk area.
The majority of the room, however,
is being cleared of everything.
That larger section, about 8x11 feet,
is being readied for a VR experience.
Yes, I seem always to be excited
about the newest innovations in technology...
particularly as it pertains to new experiences
and a new source of photographic opportunities.
I will never apologize for dreaming
and for my vivid imagination.
But, we must keep things in their
proper perspective. We need an area
in which to read, and to contemplate...
an area in which to meditate and to pray.
It need not be fancy, it can be small,
but it is needed more than all the rest.
Welcome to my little corner of solitude...
welcome to my reading nook.
The peaks of snow mountains on bright mornings part the dense clouds and soar into the skies. Beneath the skies like a world submerged, lies a lost kingdom. Ladakh, the roof of the world opened to tourists only in the last decade. At an awesome altitude, this highland is the bridge between the earth and the sky!
Part fantasy, part reality... Ladakh, is where, the forces of nature conspired to render a magical unrealistic landscape... a landscape of extremes... desert and blue waters... burning sun and freezing winds... glaciers and sand dunes... a primeval battleground of the titanic forces which gave birth to the Himalayas.
Ladakh is a region in India totally isolated from the modern world. An authentic land, it is faithful to ancestral customs where life is characterized by intense spirituality. Even an Indian traveler will probably find no similarities in the land and people between the ones he leaves behind and those he encounters in Ladakh. Rich traditions of Mahayana Buddhism still flourish in the purest form in this region, which has often been referred to as Little Tibet.
Massive rock features with collapsing portions forming cave like features in the rock. The rock has dimple like features, maybe formed by erosion or lumps falling out of the rock.
Just before Citaro's became the Monday-Friday norm on the 114's and with one of my favourite flora in view too, the lovely short flowering Cherry Blossom.

the times are tough for all the restaurants...
combine Omicron with cold weather and you really cannot win.
A rather cute looking grey seal dozing in a bit of a shelter from the bitterly cold wind. By the time I finished taking pictures, my fingers were so numb I couldn't get anything out of my pockets when we got back to the car. A couple of days later, all this area was covered in snow.

I am still checking out some posing guides and this one is largely taken from here... i0.wp.com/digitalphotographylive.com/wp-content/uploads/2... (Third top row, third from left) One of my best on the floor poses ever, in my opinion.
Winter sun in my cozy reading nook. Of course, that was before the recent storms started and bathed everything in gray light...
3 weeks after my first visit, I came back to check the evolution of the pup. Still an amazing scenery to see the pup got bigger and the relationship that they have with their moms.
More from our regular visit to Donna Nook on the Lincolnshire coast - one of the largest concentrations of seals giving birth in the world.
Mums giving birth, babies feed and the bulls fight to mate with the mums and send them off to sea again already pregnant for next year.
A stunning natural sight and one not to be missed.
