A fascinating abandoned house in Tajique, NM on NM 55 in fantastic afternoon light. 24 January 2017 around 4:30 PM.
It was extremely windy and cool under late afternoon light. The temperature was about 30F/-1C and the frozen mud crunched under my boots with every step.

El Morro National Monument is a U.S. national monument in Cibola County, New Mexico, United States. Located on an ancient east–west trail in the western part of the state, the monument preserves the remains of a large prehistoric pueblo atop a great sandstone promontory with a pool of water at its base, which subsequently became a landmark where over the centuries explorers and travelers have left personal inscriptions that survive today.
Still playing with last year's NM pictures. I played around with the clouds in this one but I don't remember what exactly I did but I like it nonetheless.
This used to be Home On The Range for the horses, elk, antelope, bobcat and mountain lions, plus Native Americans and others that value the environment. Now we have 64 windmills each standing as high as a 40 story building, and each stealing from the beautiful views of Mt. Taylor. This is the Red Mesa wind farm and it is an awful blight on our beautiful earth. It is also built on land that is sacred to Native American people. Thanks a lot so-called environmentalists!
