The temple of Swayambhunath is perched at the top of a hill near the city. A fifteen minutes drive from the center will take you to the foot of the hill, from where exactly 365 steps have to be climbed to reach the top. Due to abundance of monkeys in the vicinity, tourists sometimes refer to it as the monkey temple. Prayer-wheels surround the main temple, the white dome.

Shellharbour Marina opened yesterday - we went for a walk out to the end of the breakwall today - bit cloudy with a very chilly southerley wind blowing over the water didn't matter ... we're lucky to have this on our doorstep..
This image I named "Nirvana" was my favorite from the Painting with Light assignment. The part of the image I find the most compelling is the pop in the color of the light and the texture. For this photo, I took inspiration from the iconic Nirvana band smile logo. I gave the camera a 20 second time limit to draw this smile. This photo to me gives a warm feel with the orange/ yellow coloring popping out from the darkness.
