The pumpkin festival at Ludwigsburg is famous for the big sculptures made of pumpkins but I especially love the carved pumpkins. This is one of them and a current favourite (although it looks quite fierce). Not much carving had to be done on this one but I think it's perfect.

Ninja camera test after three days of rain

A black Kawasaki Nija, fur coat, platform shoes and a shiny new "L Plate" on the back.

The Ninja Turtles have become cult figures among the Launceston Street artists. The other day we saw Raphael. Here is Leonardo.

Just a thought: I've heard it said, "Photographs of graffiti or street art or of other artist's work in general is not the photographer's work." Tell that to Martha Cooper! It's not the subject but the composition - the way the image is framed that makes a photograph.

Here is my twofold reply:

"(1) Without the photographer these works are not recorded for posterity, and

(2) By that definition we should forget photographing landscapes or buildings or anything else we didn't create with our own hands.

The easiest shot in the world is to find a brilliant location and shoot a landscape. That's one reason why so few photography landscapes are in art galleries. Painters do them better!

What is important is the composition. The selection or visual editing the photographer does.

Another picture from my recent underwater bridal shoot.

This is the amazing Kate Errington holding her breath, swimming underwater with her eyes open and still looking fabulous in a Madeline Isaac-James wedding dress.

I can't decide if she looks like a leaping ninja or something from the Sistine Chapel ;)

Blue Ninja! ha ha Don't be scared, this is just me. :-D

I like blue color and this scarf.

CC Week 24 - Reflections

I knew I wanted to find reflections to photograph, but also knew that at this time of year it would be hard to find a body of water where I might find a reflection anywhere near where I live. So I decided to take another look at what's inside my house, going from room to room to see what I might find that had reflections. There were actually quite a few everyday things that provide an interesting reflection, so long as I didn't require a perfect mirrored image. Reflection of light, distorted or not can be eye catching, here in my coffee maker.

Superbike. Wow, its been a while! I probably won't be posting much in the near future, but here's a little build I did a ways back. Anyway, God bless you all!

Savez vous comment on appelle ces jouets ? je les ai achetés sous la dénomination de porte clé vaudou mais je doute que ce soit leur nom officiel ...

Does anyone know how these are called ? they are sold as "voodoo keyrings" but the toy itself probably has another name

On average, for the last 7-8 years about 4-5 days a week, I've been consuming the same basic thing almost everyday... a protein smoothie for lunch and a salad for dinner. I'm still using my old Ninja blender for my smoothies and thought it would be a perfect fit for the Macro Mondays theme of kitchen this week. This is the top blade of my Ninja... it's a little dinged up but still going strong! Just like me, ha!

Kidrobot just sent me some samples of a mousepad they're running.

I spent some time researching this property and stumbled upon what I thought was information regarding the owners, turns out that was a dead end as the two properties had a similar address. However, I was later able to find out some other details about this property that are equally as interesting.

This $15 million dollar home built in 1975 which sits on 50 acres was listed for sale several years ago but never sold, obviously the house in itself is not worth $15 million, it is the land that holds the real value. There is another separate building on this property which was leased more recently for $1400 a month which was actually a pretty good deal considering its size. I currently have no idea what is going on with the property but the home sits vacant and likely awaiting demolition at some point in the future.

Scary hen that was everywhere we went when on holiday (our first as a family - yay) earlier this year!

Found a few old shots on a spare memory card.

Sloane: So THIS is what I want for MY birthday, not any stinkin' flippers or something.

me: Sloane, I think that's a little big for you. And it costs a bit more than flippers.

Sloane: I'm worth it. Besides, see--it says it's made for me, right HERE: Ninja! Could it BE more perfect?

me: Okay, Ninja biker supermodel, let's get on with your photoshoot for now, 'kay?

This is another Nov archive image and one that I almost deleted but glad I didn't. The red spot in the background from a car is what annoyed my at first but now I really like it and it adds to the ninja concept, I hope ;-) Haver a great Friday and weekend everyone!
