My dog in the mountains

lit up pylons in the night sky-all that "turns around points" stuff during private pilot training is paying off now :)

EOS London 756 (LK53FDE), former First London DMC41528 and Metroline DC1550, both at Uxbridge garage, is seen on an unusual working of their route 542, which is usually worked by one of the Docklands darts.

Nimbus really doesn't stay still for long which makes getting a good photo of her with a speedlight setup even more difficult. I managed to grab her attention for a few minutes while i fired off a couple of frames.

There is no doubt that the cloudscape was spectacular but that little cloud stole the show for me.

Not everything which comes our way is subject to a full restoration, indeed many things pass though for relatively minor work which the owner hasn't the capacity or the will to undertake themselves at the time.

I forget now why this Albion Nimbus passed through in 2017 but I recall some water issues and test work. Its owner had something of a liking for Channel Island buses and has (I believe) two others in his collection that he and a friend work tirelessly on in their spare time.

JNP 590C is an age related 'mainland' re-reg, it was originally just 16216 on its home island. Amazingly, this antiquated looking Reading bodied bus was new in 1965 but its fair to say that it has the appearence of something at least ten years older. Maybe its the latter fact, with its swooping curves that gives it a charm of its own.

[RX07KPJ] With Arriva Surrey retiring later this month, chances of this bus staying with Arriva are slim. This is one of few Darts I've been on that is actually really nice.

I begin the new year with only a single, canid field companion (Nimbus), the fewest I've had in quite some time. She walks in the footsteps of some absolute legends. Thus far, she's been a really good field partner, and I'm looking forward to years of epic adventures with her.

Explored #267 April 22nd 2011

Finally, some portraits of my beautiful Numina Devon "Nimbus"! There are so many things I love about her. In particular I was ecstatic when I realized she has draker blue circles around her irises (just like me ;-) ). It's a small thing but I am personally really obsessing over small things!
