To my utmost dismay I've discovered that a dear friend who I was blessed to have met in flickr, Louise Bleakly, has passed away a few months ago. Her photos and related stories were a thrill to watch and read, a window to worlds impossible to reach otherwise. Her photostream is this:

Louise was a kind, supportive and gentle soul, a devoted friend. Among other she was a Vietnam War veteran.

I'll never forget her... I already miss her...

This photo is published in her memory.

Fly away and rest, dear Louise...

Location: Skete of Saint Anna, Mount Athos (Agio Oros), Hellas.

I was interested by the amount of color in all the tattered bits and pieces as well as the moldy rose hip in the back. Exaggerated by sliding in LightRoom Classic, and punched up in Nik Viveza 2

Revisiting some old untouched India pictures from 2010.

The Peacock Gate is at the entry of the Chandra Mahal in the City Palace in Jaipur. Looking at the gate, I felt it was a fantastic representation of the beautiful array of colours that India has to offer. India may be heavy in dust and pollution, but it also has wonderful gems hidden around every corner. Just need to keep your eyes open.

ABOUT THIS IMAGE

"You Go In First, No You Go In"

Morro Bay is a great place for exploration and for that matter any photography. Many fishing and sailboats as well as many species of wildlife. Of course, never forget Morro Rock. My good friend, Bob Canepa and I had a fantastic morning exploring.
