On this day I had the great opportunity to photograph alongside Nathan Wirth. Nathan informed me that he was born and raised in San Francisco and that Marshall Beach was his boyhood playground. It was more than a pleasure to not only meet, photograph and learn from Nathan, but also see him enjoy his old playground. Thank you, my friend.

I apologize for putting the same photo up twice, but after I ran this image through NIK Color Efex Pro's "Low Key" filter, I really like the new result better. The look is "later in the evening" and the rainbow has a lot more punch in this version.

Both images were at the same location at the same time. The sky was the long exposure.

Memories Stir from the Broken House
This old run down country ranch house amazingly sits right next to a Home Depot in San Luis Obispo, California. The once big sprawling ranch is called the Froom Ranch.
This little, old building was the home to a fisherman and his family. Today it's not in use and slowly going back to the nature.

Morning Mist II
I made this image in 1999 with a Canon Ftb a 35mm film camera using Fuji Velvia 50 Color Transparency film. In 2004 or so I scanned the slide using my Nikon 9000 film scanner and converted it to B&W.
One of the last hyacinth "blooms" we had this year. The day after I took this photo, we had much colder weather and all the blooms drooped and then fell off.
This is a macro photo taken with my Sony 50mm lens. It is somewhere between 1:2 and 1:1.4 ratio.
National flower of Turkey and Iran, the tulip belongs to genus, Tulipa which contains 109 species. The peculiar shape and different colors of tulip makes it one of the most loved flowers on earth. If you visualize a tulip flower, the first thought/feeling that engulfs the mind is that of comfort and coziness. Tulips are flowers which bloom at the beginning of spring season; being the first flowers to bloom along with daffodils and crocuses, the tulips are associated with a new beginning. There is one more thing which need to be shared about tulips before moving on to the descriptions about their meaning. The tulip is not very bright and also not too elaborate in shape.
