Walking along the North Sea beach at Scheveningen The Hague I saw three wooden chairs in the sea, I fished them out and I started photograph them with a ND 10 stops filter.
This is the third image from this series.

The area was fenced off because of wood rot. so I reached over the fence and placed my Camera on the ground and pressed the shutter.
I need to share the background on this image. We went up on Hawk Hill, hoping to see the bridge towers poke out above the fog. Wrong. So we went the other way - down to the water's edge to see the towers and cables of the bridge disappear into the fog. Not what we had planned, but not a bad alternative.

ABOUT THIS IMAGE
Secluded Arches
The arches along the beautiful coast of Montana de Oro California State Park. The Park, which is located near Los Osos in San Luis Obispo County has many Coastal Coves with many arches, caves and outstanding rock formations. This image was an 10 minute 30 second exposure.

After taking a photo of this beach (Martinique Beach, Nova Scotia) I then took another photo in the opposite direction. Then in photoshop I took the second photo and merged it onto the sunglasses of the first photo to create this image.
If I told you that this is the Tower of London, you’d probably reply that you already knew, right? So, I won’t go any further down that road... It is still a lovely Mediæval fortress, but did you know that it was a Frenchman who built it? Indeed, William the Conqueror had it built from 1066, the very year of the Conquest, and the White Tower, the central “keep” that gave its name to the whole complex, was completed in 1078.
Of course, it was added to later, notably in the 12th and 13th centuries, after which not much changed in the layout.
And to close this caption on something else you already knew, the White Tower is the place where the Crown Jewels are kept —and from where Olrik stole them in the ever-famous opening sequence of La Marque jaune... Now, that is something you did not know, did you? ;o))
Looking skyward up through the Silver birch in this shot. An edit of 3 shots using Nik HDR Efex Pro2 to create this subtle HDR image.

Stormy Day at Whale Rock
I was able to get out and photograph on one of our first storms of Drought Stricken 2014 California. It was great to see some substantial clouds. 5 min, 20 sec exposure.

Cohen Performing Arts Center, California Polytechnic State University, USA. This is a composite image. Since there were not any clouds I had to add a cloud as a homage to Cole Thompson. I also darken the sky. The building was captured in HDR using 7 exposures. PhotoMatix was used for combining and tonemapping. CS5 and SilverEfexPro2.

Manhattan Beach Pier
I had to have my Epson 3800 printer repaired and since I live in a small town the only place to fix the darn thing is in Redondo Beach some 200 miles away. So I made a day of it. I left early because I had to struggle with LA traffic, especially the 405. That gave me some time to hit the beach for some photography since the place didn’t open until 9 am. Everything worked out perfectly since I had an appointment and while they were repairing my printer I had a great meal at the “Spot” in Hermosa Beach. Going home I hit a little traffic on the 405, but not bad considering it was the 405. This image is one from that morning shoot. I hope you like it.
