It is known as a 'strawberry moon', but not just because of its slightly reddish colour. It is actually names as such because in early native American tribes, this particular full moon was often called ‘strawberry moon’ because this time of year would often be when tribes would start to gather up ripened fruits.

A beautiful day in Lacey Washington at the Woodard Bay Conservatory. A long exposure technique worked well on the water to soften its appearance surrounding the old pier.

Masjid-e-Siraj ud-Daulah, locally known as Chandanpura Jame Masjid, is one of the great examples of Mughal-inspired architecture.

The Chandanpura Masjid is a mosque situated in the old part of Chittagong on the Nabab Siraj ud-Daulah road in Bangladesh. It is one of the famous landmarks in Chittagong and a popular tourist attraction for its impressive architecture consisting of multiple domes and minarets painted in bright colors.

According to historians, it was built in 1870 by one Master Abdul Hamid, a contractor. After its construction, the mosque used to be known as Hamidia-Taj-Masjid. Builders and architects from Lucknow and Mumbai (of India) were brought in for the work.

Later in 1947, Abu Syed Dobhash, a descendant of Hamid, took the initiative to renovate the mosque, which was completed in 1952. It had cost around Tk 4 lakh for the renovation.

Although it was renovated in 1952, the mosque has deteriorated over the years due to environmental factors, such as air pollution. Little is known about the origin and the history behind the mosque except for the local historians.

The two-storey structure with an entrance in the middle has two staircases zigzagging to the top of two minarets on both sides. Railings of the staircases are decorated with multi-coloured floral designs. Both minarets are around seven-storey tall.

In total, there are five domes with a large onion dome at the centre -- surrounded by structures intricately designed like petals.

This mosque is a part of our identity. It never ceases to amaze us even after so many years.

An early morning hike, brought me to this magical location called, Whatcom Falls Park. This is a low light composition and I wanted to keep it soft and smooth. Tranquil in every sense.

After hiking a few miles into the Mt Rainier Paradise trail, I came across this misty morning fog scene. I waited for the fog to settle in to take this image. Somewhat dark with heavy fog, but very calming to see in person and breathe the wet misty air.

During post edit I wanted to convey all the variations of green and yellow foliage's for an even balance. I absolutely love this photo and the foggy elements.

A nice photo of Snoqualmie Falls. I have tried over and over to capture this waterfall and every time it's either to foggy, not enough light or too much mist.

Azgar Ali Chowdhury Jame Mosque is an ancient mosque located in Halishahar, Chittagong.

The mosque was built in 1895 by named Azgar Ali Chowdhury. The mosque was built on 10 acres of land.

About 31 worshipers including Imam can perform prayers in this mosque. In 2016, the mosque became unsuitable for prayers. As a result, the mosque committee decided to renovate it and construct another new building with the consent of the locals.

They commissioned the Urbana Architects Group in Dhaka to renovate the mosque. The mosque was renovated with lime-surki at a cost of Rs 50 lakh.Another new building was constructed on the west side at a cost of about four and a half crore take.

Lake-like water structures are built around it. Much like the National Assembly. Seen from a distance, it looks like it is floating on water.

It is a mosque originally built in imitation of the Mughal establishment.

An effect of the Taj Mahal can be seen in its design. There are beautiful carvings on the walls outside the mosque.Above are 24 minarets. And there are three domes. The middle of the dome is much larger in size. There are no special windows in this mosque. The size of the door is not too big either. This mosque has been built with limestone.

Salt production has been an indigenous industry of the coastal regions since ancient times.A class of people of Chittagong known as Mulangi used to boil sea water to produce salt since ancient times.Their salt production area was called 'Tofal'.During the Mughal period, two government departments called 'Nimak Jaigir Mahal and Nimak Ayaz Mahal' controlled this industry.

Salt production runs along the coast in Banskhali upazila. Coastal salt farmers come down to the field every year after monsoon. The salt production season begins at the end of the monsoon shrimp season.50,000 salt farmers cultivate in various unions along the coast of Bay of Bengal.

Salt is being cultivated in 15 thousand hectares of coastal areas of Saral, Gandamara, Shekerkhil, Puichhari, Chanua, Kathria, Khankhanabad and Baharchhara Union of Banskhali upazila.Salt is made by drying the water with the heat of the sun.Basically, this salt production season lasts from December every year to June of the following year.

Karnaphuli River, major watercourse of the Chittagong region, Bangladesh. Rising in the Mizo Hills of Mizoram state, northeastern India, it flows about 170 miles (270 km) south and southwest through the southeastern arm of Bangladesh to empty into the Bay of Bengal, 12 miles (19 km) below the city of Chittagong. In the Chittagong Hill Tracts area it is known as the Kynsa Khyoung. The river is navigable by steamer to Rangamati and is extensively used for transporting cotton and forest products. The river’s Karnaphuli hydroelectric project provides power for tea-, jute-, tobacco-, and cotton-processing industries; the reservoir irrigates a vast agricultural area.

Polistes fuscatus, whose common name is the dark or northern paper wasp, is widely found in eastern North America, from southern Canada through the southern United States.[2] It often nests around human development. However, it greatly prefers areas in which wood is readily available for use as nest material, therefore they are also found near and in woodlands and savannas.
