The gray catbird (Dumetella carolinensis), also spelled grey catbird, is a medium-sized North American and Central American perching bird of the mimid family. It is the only member of the "catbird" genus Dumetella. Like the black catbird (Melanoptila glabrirostris), it is among the basal lineages of the Mimidae, probably a closer relative of the Caribbean thrasher and trembler assemblage than of the mockingbirds and Toxostoma thrashers. In some areas it is known as the slate-colored mockingbird. -

The water was like blue mercury and my trusty B+W polarizer did the trick to allow the colors to shine thru. The Sawtooth Mountains are Epic indeed. Blue Alpine water is stunning.

Kaptai Lake is the largest lake in Bangladesh. It is located in the Kaptai Upazila under Rangamati District of Chittagong Division. The lake was created as a result of building the Kaptai Dam on the Karnaphuli River, as part of the Karnaphuli Hydro-electric project.

As the early morning clouds moved away, the blue sky gave way to an awesome background. Perched midway in this tree sits a Great Blue Heron that sat for an amazing portraiture.

Sundarbans, The largest single block of tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the world, located in the southwestern part of Bangladesh. It lies on the Ganges-Brahmaputra Delta at the point where it merges with the Bay of Bengal. It is also a center of economic activities, such as extraction of timber, fishing and collection of honey. The forest consists of about 200 islands, separated by about 400 interconnected tidal rivers, creeks and canals.

The nature of Sundarbans is really so different and so so amazing to enjoy. I think it is really unmatched by its God gifted incredible features. Every traveler in the world should make a visit to our Sundarbans for once minimum in their lifetime, not but it will be a subject of great affliction to life.

Being one of the very few waterfalls situated within the Colombo Disctrict, Kumari Ella has been a very popular destination due to its easy accessibility. Although, quite small in size compared to other famous waterfalls found in the country, still this waterfall is no less in beauty.

Hiking through the giant mountains in knuckles range and crossing beautiful streams, rivers along the way will definitely take you to an another world.

It was my first camping experience near a massive waterfall; in our 3 days wild journey this is the most fabulous and last destination. Simply words cannot describe her beauty. You need to see it from your own eyes.

Magical evening at koggala beach srilanka. I just love to go with slightly smooth shutter speed for this kind of composition

I was fascinated by the dry zone mist and this person suddenly came up to my frame.

A little park in Tacoma, WA called Point Defiance. A great place to relax, smell the trees and get away from the COVID pandemic.

Memorial benches have so many meanings. 1] Don't forget me. 2] Come closer to me. 3] I will always love you. 4] The forest is my heaven and my safe space.

Lovely moment in miracle frame

There is something about huge waves crashing against rocks that satisfies me, and a calming feeling as well.

In the morning is the best time to find magic in the sky and soothing water reflections. A long exposure technique can bring it all together.

This photo was taken in Tacoma, WA along the Point Ruston waterfront area.

Sometimes you get the best view outside the bridge.

The western honey bee or European honey bee (Apis mellifera) is the most common of the 7–12 species of honey bees worldwide.[3][4] The genus name Apis is Latin for "bee", and mellifera is the Latin for "honey-bearing", referring to the species' production of honey.

A warm and calming feeling sums up the day for me at Crescent Beach, in Oregon. Beautiful water reflections glow on the shore. In the distance between the rocks, you can see the Tillamook Lighthouse.

Originally known as Kewhira, Kohima was founded in 1878 when the British Empire established its headquarters of the then Naga Hills. It officially became the capital after the state of Nagaland was inaugurated in 1963.

Kohima was the site of one of the most decisive battles of World War II. The battle is often referred to as the ‘Stalingrad of the East’.

Kohima has a very pleasant climate which is surrounded by scenic mountains ideal for tourists with all the major trekking destinations including Dzukou valley, Khonoma, Puliebadze, Dezuleke etc which are all easily accessible from Kohima.

The male yellow headed blackbird sings with joy. Or is it a screech? Males sing a few musical notes followed by a screeching buzz, rather like a heavy door swinging on a very rusty metal hinge. They sing from cattails, bulrushes, fences, shrubs, or small trees in the morning and evening during the breeding season

It is known as a 'strawberry moon', but not just because of its slightly reddish colour. It is actually names as such because in early native American tribes, this particular full moon was often called ‘strawberry moon’ because this time of year would often be when tribes would start to gather up ripened fruits.

A beautiful day in Lacey Washington at the Woodard Bay Conservatory. A long exposure technique worked well on the water to soften its appearance surrounding the old pier.
