We have achieved bird's nest. With enclosed robin. Sadly, this robin has built her nest directly above our outdoor cat's house. Maybe that's why they call them bird brains. It's sad. But I'm excited to have a nest that is so clearly in view.

This is a 2 photo HDR image of a bird's nest on my front porch.

I noticed that two of the eggs are white and one is brown. I am guessing a bird who did not make the nest laid an egg in there so the nest building bird would raise her young. Anybody know what kind of bird this could be?

Carrie the crane, nested with some emu and ostrich eggs in Australia.. I don't think she noticed that the eggs were bigger than herself, the maternal instinct just kicked in.

These nests were collected over years, from cut-down trees, blown out of trees, etc. Now I'm giving them back to nature...

Found this abandoned nest on a street in Mountain View, CA in a leafless tree.

Pied Oystercatcher nest well signed for their safety. The first endangered Pied Oystercatcher nest of the season was found last month with two eggs in a site well protected from people, dogs and foxes.

The Tigers Nest is a prominent Himalayan Buddhist sacred site and temple complex, located in the cliffside of the upper Paro valley, in Bhutan. A temple complex was first built in 1692, around the Taktsang Senge Samdup (stag tshang seng ge bsam grub) cave where Guru Padmasambhava is said to have meditated for three years, three months, three weeks, three days and three hours in the 8th century. Padmasambhava is credited with introducing Buddhism to Bhutan
