New-Delhi (Inde) - Quand j’ai pris cette photo, il faisait très chaud. Heureusement, la rue qui accueille le marché aux légumes de Paharganj est relativement ombragé grâce aux arbres et au boutiques qui font écran au soleil. A cette heure de la journée, les clients sont rares. Ils travaillent ou attendent que le soleil soit moins présent pour venir faire leurs achats sur le marché. Le vendeur, à l’heure qu’il est, peut dormir tranquillement.

New-Delhi (India) - When I took this photo, it was very hot. Fortunately, the street that hosts the vegetable market of Paharganj is relatively shaded thanks to the trees and the shops that screen against the sun. At this time of day, customers are rare. They work or wait for the sun to be less present to come and shop on the market. The seller, at the moment, can sleep peacefully.
Am 13.09.20 war ich mit einem Kumpel auch an der Stammstrecke der HzL unterwegs.
Hier durchquert im gemächlichen Tempo die Doppeltraktion NE 81 als RB den Bahnhof Kohlstetten.
Für das Bild musste auch der Fahrradverkehr mal kurz gestoppt werden :-)

Teško jutro nad kanalom. Oblaci pritišću kopno, ali ne prelaze more. U luci u Šilu, svatko zna svoje mjesto i svoju tišinu. Jedan brodić isplovljava, drugi sanjari uz štap, dok jahta odmara ispod laterne. Crno-bijela priča o ritmu Jadrana između sna i rada.

Nécropole de Notre Dame de Lorette, haut lieu de la guerre 14-18. Environ 45 000 combattants y reposent.

Voor vrijdag 11 Augustus werd er sinds lange tijd weer eens lekker weer voorspeld, dus werden er plannen gemaakt om richting onze oosterburen te trekken voor wat foto's. In de eerste instantie was ons idee om richting Bokeloh te gaan voor de Euroduals over het dieselspoortje, maar later veranderde het plan toch om richting midden-Duitsland te trekken. Ik vertrok de avond van tevoren richting Oss, waar ik overnachtte bij Jelani. We zouden de volgende ochtend vroeg vertrekken en Vince oppikken in Arnhem.
Nadat de wekker om 2 uur ging, werd er gauw aangekleed en in de auto gestapt. Met volle vaart vertrokken we richting Duitsland. Dan iets na 6 kwamen we aan. De stek was toch iets lastiger berijkbaar dan we dachten, want de overweg was buiten gebruik gesteld... Toch werd er een manier gevonden om de stek te bereiken. Na zo'n 400 meter lopen werd er gekeken of dit te doen was qua lengte van de Eurodual-locs, en ja, het kon ruim.
Na HLG half in de schaduw, was het wachten op VTG. Ook deze, was net als HLG vertraging opgelopen. Gelukkig was door de +77 (!) dat deze trein opgelopen had, het makkelijker fotograferen, en zorgde de vertraging ook nog eens voor dat de trein in heerlijk licht zou passeren!
Het is 6:45 als de fraaie Eurodual, verhuurd aan Netzwerkbahn Sachsen, de 3 fotografen passeert als trein 95688 naar Bokeloh!

York is about 200 miles north of London. There are ~200,000 people in York & its surrounding area, ~1 in 10 is a student. The city is known for landmarks such as York Minster & the City Walls.
York has, since Roman times, been defended by walls of one form or another. To this day, substantial portions of the walls remain, and York has more miles of intact wall than any other city in England. They are known as York City Walls, the Bar Walls & the Roman walls (though this last is a misnomer as very little of the extant stonework is of Roman origin, and the course of the wall has been substantially altered since Roman times). The walls are ~13 feet (4m) high & 6 feet (1.8m) wide.

Am frühen Abend kann man sich an den Weinbergen zwischen Bieler-/ und Neuenburgersee etwas in die Höhe stellen. Dabei blicken wir hier im Hintergrund auf den Bielersee.
Unter uns liegt die Strecke entlang des Jura Südfusses. Es ist die wichtigste Gütermagistrale zwischen der West- und der Ostsschweiz. Die meisten Züge des Nationalen Güterverkehrs sind dabei noch mit Re420 oder Re620 bespannt.
Im Personenverkehr kommen in diesem Abschnitt auf den IC-Zügen ausschliesslich die ICN zum Einsatz. Im Regionalverkehr gibt es SBB Domino.
Re420 + Re620, Dominos ... und das ist alles die Regel und nicht die Ausnahme. Das wird in 5 Jahren kaum mehr so sein ...
