My 4th and most likely last entry in the 2014 Nerdvember contest.
For this one I knew I was going to need some help to get the right effect... so, I reached out to my friend Pixelfox who happens to be a Photoshop Black belt.
I came up with the build, he gave it a bit of life!
Bonus "making-of"!
Here is a shot of how the Nerdly is built... and this picture will give you an idea of what some good picture edits will do to your MOC, enjoy!
Have you all heard? BrickNerd is back! Here is my entry for the Nerdly Strikes Back contest, a Queen Amidala Nerdly!
Hello and welcome to TOM'S Burger.
I present to you the new:
NEVER TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED. WHO KNOWS, MAYBE YOU DON'T LIKE NERDLY. NOBODY'S PERFECT! A SPECIALTY AROUND HERE.
;)
Honestly, the things I build sometimes... :-)
Built at the last minute and at great expense for Tommy's "Pimp My Nerdly" contest.
2 Acrylic colors"NeonOrange"&"Parakeet": 2 Painters Markers "White"&"Black" 71/4" x 5 1/2" inch Postal(11-b Label). Finger Painted the orange and green , used an almost empty shity tip Painters marker for the rest of the painting. :)
Can't have a Nerd without a Rubik'scube :p
When I saw that my good friend Tommy was doing another round of Nerdly Pimping, I had to do at least one :)
I'll try to build some more if I find the time.
Here is my second entry for the Nerdly Strikes Back contest, a nerd-giri! Well, it's actually maki sushi, but then the pun doesn’t work!
Credit to Nobu for the shrimp tail design; they do wonderful food MOCs that always blow me away.
----------------------------------------
My boyfriend also gave me the "British Nerd" set for my birthday, I love it! Apparently the googles leave marks on the face, so I've preferred adding them on photoshop xD It's a pity because I love them :(
By the way, Iori is wearing a size M obitsu and the clothes fit her perfectly :)
Wanted to post this random hand drawn character on 288 label, looks like he has potential...Been working hard on hand made stickers to get out to people on my list.
Built for the 'Pimp My Nerdly' contest! I had been hoping to build a tiger for a while... mission accomplished!
Somehow got talked into a Harry Potter themed photo shoot... here are the nerds ..err.. I mean results ;)
I am Iron Nerd.
This here Iron Nerd was built for the Nerdly Strikes Back competition hosted by... BrickNerd! Thought I might as well swing in with a last minute entry. Rewatched all the Iron Man films recently so I'm in a real Marvel mood. Built in under 2hrs.
If you like this build, consider tapping the fave button ever so slightly and if you’re feeling like doing a bit extra, follow me here. Thanks!

The logo and mascot for the wonderful community blog BrickNerd.com is a stylized red 2 x 2 brick wearing glasses named Nerdly. Contributors tend to have their own customized versions of it to represent themselves. This is mine, because I'm very excited to say I've joined BrickNerd as a contributor! In fact, my first article went up today. It's about part mold variations over time, and techniques that can be achieved with different generations of those parts. I've got a ton of ideas going forward, and I'm excited to share with and learn from the BrickNerd team!
I recently joined the awesome Bricknerd team as a contributor to the site, and as is customary for new contributors, I built a custom model of Nerdly, the Bricknerd mascot. I decided to give him a medieval twist by making him into a castle tower!

Had to give this another go this year.
One of my absolute favourite shows growing up was the A-team (if you listen closely you may still hear the soundtrack...sshhh...) and one of my my favourite movies was Rocky III. So when this years theme was the 80s, well I really had no choice ;)
So here goes, B.A. Baracus aka Clubber Lang aka Mr. T!
First one to say his catch-phrase wins, haha!
Why do people come to Second Life? Probably one big reason is that here, ANYONE can have pretensions of hawtness :-) Even self proclaimed nerdy types like me. SL is a wonderful place of wish fulfillment, but only so long as we remember that there are always people behind those pixels...
Nerdly decided to don their SCUBA gear for a little treasure hunting ...and maybe a close call or two with the local wildlife!

Because it had to be done...
As was announced today, I will be joining up with other community-minded AFOL's in revitalizing BrickNerd. Earlier this year, many of us were lamenting the continued lack of community coverage on the mainstream LEGO blogs (TBB being one). They commonly neglect to mention all of the community driven contests and events that inspired those creations they blog about to be built in the first place.
Dave Schefcik has seized on the opportunity to take over the reigns of BrickNerd from Tommy, and along with Simon Liu and others we hope to remedy this by evolving it into a community minded hub. With Keith having mothballed ye old Manifesto blog, there also hasn't been a good home for my occasional commentary on the community. That was probably for better... but nonetheless, since the fellow BrickNerds seems amenable to me posting stuff like that, I'm all on board. Excited to be a part of the team!
Built for Nerdvember 2017!
