Thanks so much to the organizers, volunteers and sponsors of Nerd Camp this year! I had an amazing time and it was wonderful catching up with old friends and making new ones. These are some of the photos I took during the event, mainly of people I met rather than the talks (I often had trouble getting into the latter since the rooms were often super-packed, so I left it to others to take better pics :-).

So this is my special little nerd, Brynn. She's a new model of mine, and she's in Bizarre. I decided to portray her as a geek because she was a Biology major, and it's definately not very creative. I just couldn't come up with anything more interesting for her.
Anyways, hair, suspenders, some of shoes drawn. There's also glasses hanging from her pants, but they're hard to see.

T-shirt design for the Trompe L'oiel contest for shirt.woot.com. This was originally based on the uniform for the Nerd Herd on the t.v. show Chuck, but after it got rejected I resubmitted it without the Nerd Herd name tag and it got the highest placing of any design so far (17th place)
I know, I know... you want to see what I can do with the 5D.
But yesterday I got a package of yarn in the mail.
Not only do I call myself a bird nerd, and a photography fiend, but I am of course obsessed with knitting.
All 3 colorways of the "Bloodlust" colorways... made after characters in the Sookie books (not the t.v. series... because some of the characters in the t.v. series are kind of wack).
Top: Alcide... the werewolf, just started knitting a lace scarf with this one, that looks like wolf faces (and it is incredible)
Middle: Sookie... main character. After the pretty spring dresses she always likes to wear.
Bottom: Eric... yea, speaks for itself.
There is something to be said about yarn colors that you can relate to.
You can take a pattern, and match the colors it ask for. Or you can buy the yarn, and find a pattern that fits the colors of the yarn.
