Nerdly is right at home scavenging the desolate plains of Jakku. An entry for the TBB Pimp Rey's Speeder contest, and BrickNerd's NERDvember, two birds with one stone!
Footing it through Heartside in downtown GR with Terry and Tom.

I tried the glasses over the gate first, but that made the dark grey around the entrance look like a mustache... So I went for a two headed castle instead!
More pictures on Blockheads.
Kind of borrowed some layout cues from my Baby Builds Castle.

I'm actually kinda surprised I never built an official 'Borg Cube' - I've done a Greeble World but always wanted to take on the greeblist of builds.
Still not as big as I wanted to be, but one thing I really wanted to try to accomplish with this build was the proper 'layering' that's in the cube with the glow underneath.
It's about 2 bricks tall of 'greeble' to achieve the layers.
Mural by Nerd X aka @graffitinerd seen on an underpass along the B_Line in the West Town area of Chicago, Illinois.

I’ve enjoyed Bricknerd‘s content for years, so was super excited to see its reboot and had to participate in the Nerdly Strikes Back contest.
John pointed out that glasses could look cute on the penguin design I did as a Christmas bauble, and to keep him from being lonely I added a new owl friend.

My entry for the Nerdly Strikes Back contest over on Bricknerd. This build certainly highlighted to me that I need to seriously work on my brick-built animal skills! But despite not being entirely pleased with the execution, I liked the idea too much not to post it – hopefully you all find it enjoyable as well :D.

Gotta promote the Nerdly strikes back contest over on Bricknerd.com a bit so here is my first entry!
(I can't win any of the prizes of course...but bragging rights counts for a lot, haha!)
So get in the game and head over to the site bricknerd.com/home/tag/Do+or+do+not+there+is+no+try for more details! Bribes and flattery towards the judges are encouraged ;)
Classic Andy Griffith show - Barney Fife character..It doesn't seem right without some text to the side."Well Otis pass the Hooch!"...
Chris again
What a cute nerd he makes :D
Part of my college course again!
I think this is actually adorable, shows up his geeky side coz no matter how hard he tries to hide it I know he is :D
I really don't think that much more needs to be said than that.
Built for Tommy's Pimp My Nerdly contest.
As was announced today, our beloved BrickNerd is back! Dave Schefcik has gathered an impressive lineup of editors to revitalise the site and create a community-focused hub – something I just couldn’t say no to.
Our aim: A diverse platform that provides in-depth articles on MOCs and their creators, community-driven events and contests, detailed interviews and features, all of which celebrate our AFOL culture in all its intricacies.
But that's all just words – so feel free to bookmark the site again and see for yourself what we'll have in stock.
I for one am very excited! My first feature is going to cover how my building space and how my collection is organised – something that gets asked a lot! :)
And yes, of course the Nerdly had to be castle-themed :D
Since I spent Christmas far away from my bricks you get to see a rare render on my stream.
"A Nerd, refers to a person who passionately pursues intellectual activities, esoteric knowledge, or other obscure interests rather than engaging in more social or popular activities. Therefore, a nerd is often excluded from physical activity and considered a loner by peers, or will tend to associate with like-minded people."
This shoot was really exhausting as i had some technical issues. Mainly because my batteries kept running out. First from my camera, then from the flash and then from my little remote control. It makes you realize how much we rely on technical devices and electronics. In this modern society we need as many "Nerds" as possible as they are the ones that make things work again. They have the patience to look behind the obvious and find out how things tick.
Even Bill Gates said: "You better be nice to Nerds, as you may work for one, one day."
