Nerds are everywhere.
I like that it says for Geeks, just in case you weren't sure. There is a project in there with instructions for making the lights in an office building spell a word or make a symbol when viewed from the street!
Tenho fotografado com duas câmeras. Uma D300 com uma lente fixa 85mm com o maravilhoso f1.8 (adoro o desfoque dela. A lente se comporta como se fosse uma 130mm por conta do fator de corte do sistema DX ). E uma D700 que porta uma grande angular fixa, de 24mm, f2.8 (fica em reais 24mm mesmo! Pq a D700 é full frame, o que significa que ela dispõe do sensor na proporção de um negativo de 35mm, isto é, sem fator de corte)
As lentes zoom te deixam preguiçoso. Com as fixas vc tem que andar mais, se mexer mais, procurar o enquadramento, se esforçar pra compor. Eu amo muito tudo isso.
Sem falar na qualidade ótica. Acho o resultado melhor.
São mais leves, é mais fácil segurar velocidades baixas.
Tem sido um experiência emocionante e - pq não? - romântica.
Tive uma conversa - corrigindo, uma aula - com o mestre Reinaldo Ferrigno. Me falou da 50mm. Tenho uma dessas aqui na prateleira, jogada e desprezada. Vai lá que foi o olho de Cartier Bresson. Desconfiava de alguma coisa sobre a lenda da lente "normal". Só não sabia que ela é pura magia!
O próximo passo é cobrir pauta só de cinquentinha. Será que é possível??

I've been wanting to build my own Nerdly from Bricknerd.com for a while now and I'm pretty happy with how he turned out. I used the standard instructions, but reworked it to fit a large ball socket inside so he can tilt forward/ backward. I also used small ball sockets from the Mixels for the wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. DSCF1524

Over the past decade our school has really valued their collective contribution, towards technical advice, hands on help with Cybercom computer games club, and fellowship. A huge thank you to their encouragement and collective support. It is no secret that the magic ingredient was our network of jokes, laughs and friendship.
I'm just practicing group pictures, and thought that sorting dollies by themes would be nice.

As part of homecoming week festivities today is "Nerd Day" so the students dress like nerds. This is most of my student video production staff, which really get into dress-up days it seems. A little retro post-ptocessing to give it the "old school" look.
BTW- If you can see youself in any of these students clothing you may want to consider a makeover!
