Old Faithful, you deceptive lout. You foiled me in childhood and you've done it again. I'm gonna put a cork in you and see what happens.

These are a close up of some fake flowers, again in front of my back-lit backdrop.

I like it because I think the darker flowers actually help put more focus on the shapes created on the backdrop. I played a little with the it in PS for kicks and tried out a more overexposed/saturated version [see below], but I like the original better because of the overexposed white actually causes you to lose some detail with the background which kills the negative space effect unless viewed on black.

I was running out of photos for a powerpoint so I inverted one of my snow pictures

I choose to do the reel print as the positive and negative print because I liked the connecting circles. It didn't turn out as good as I thought but I still like it. I did this by layering the two prints on top of each other but I didn't really like this assignment.

The temperature has dropped well below zero the last couple of days, and between that and the very little daylight we have now, I just want to be back in Mexico. It has only been a week, but it already is starting to feel like it was only a dream.
