Working over in Hull so after work, I popped down to the riverbank to see if I could get a decent shot of the bridge just after sunset. Don't think it's come out too bad for my first time down here, just need a 10-20mm lens now to get it all in in one go!

Need to restore a train car or locomotive? This is the place for you!

Needed to pick up my I.D after the other one being invalid since July, decided to take a longcut, the snow was too nice to not do it.

I'd love to know what this is ... yes I have googled it ... the leaves look like corn, it stands act. 2 1/2", by the head/blossom/seeds don't. It is growing under a bird feeder and is probably from dropped seed.

4/7/18 Volunteers needed: Trash in Bread and Cheese Creek and along it's banks before our cleanup

Thank you so very much for your interest in volunteering with us! We can certainly use your help! Please mark your calendars for our cleanup of the Historic Bread and Cheese Creek on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Rain or Shine, we clean up the section of Historic Bread and Cheese Creek from the Berkshire Area to North Point Road. Registration will be at 2408 Plainfield Road, Dundalk, MD 21222. This event will be run in conjunction with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay’s Annual Project Clean Stream and American River’s Nation River Cleanup as well as Reclaim the Bay! We have also attached an event flyer for your use.

We run our cleanups as a family event with plenty of ways for volunteers to participate. We welcome every type of person of every ability level to contribute and assist with the cleanup. Though it is true we will need people to dig out shopping carts and haul trash to the dumpsters, we need people to run water, food, tools, and trash bags (both empty and full) to individuals in the creek. People to sort recyclables from the debris removed. People will be needed to help at registration, setup food and snacks as well as many other less strenuous activities. We are also authorized to sign-off on Community Service and Service Learning Hours for students. The more people we have, the easier the work will be for everyone. We will provide lunch and snacks as well as gloves. A limited number of tools are available for sign-out, but suggest bringing your own if you have them

Volunteers are also needed to arrive early and stay late for setup and break down. Photographers and Videographers also needed!

Wondering if it's something like Silverweed (Argentina anserina) or related ... ?

A customer picked up the seeds from the floor of their local village hall. Curious, she sowed them. These are the young seedlings, which have not matured yet, nor have they flowered. The plants looked a lot like Salad Burnet, but the seeds don't.

Got a low tire when out on the bike and need some air. Unless you have a dollar in your pocket, don't stop at the Petrocan in Gibsons. What a suprise to find this. I walked across the street to Chevron and filled it there.

Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game

It's easy.

There's nothing you can make that can't be made.

Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be in time

Off on a morning jaunt. Hurt my foot somehow or other and so back to the chair for a day or so. As I passed this cart I thought about all the stuff people need to get better in my little part of the world. Fortunately, I need little in this department. Wheeling off to physio in a few minutes.

Need I say more?

Saw this door on a trip and always loved the color contrast.

I got Pierino from my father in the late 70's.... or early 80's....can't remember. These matchbox-sized mascots were quite popular among kids - and "grown-up kids" too :-)) -

I've kept mine, all these years, in its box inside my bedside table drawer....

He was quite happy to come out and pose for my 105mm Nikkor.
