A sudden cold snap, no boilers going, and I have one cat directly under my reading lamp and the other on my lap. Here's Pete sunning (lamping?) himself. Note what Dad calls the cocoon lamp in the background.
Here is a photo I shot of this odd cloud that moved across the sky without changing it's shape. If you zoom in, you can see 9 objects which were gone in moments and I can not identify them. They appear where the uppermost one is, descend then disperse and disappear. This is not a hoax and this is the original, untouched photo. I am submitting this for evaluation to multiple places and will update if I get any answers. This was directly behind my house in Tujunga, CA (the mountains above Los Angeles). Any insight would be appreciated. I am pretty freaked out, to be honest. I wasn't going to post in fear of people's reaction, but I really have to find some peace of mind. Thanks!
Any time you could use a little help in life, Blowing Rocks is always there to lend a hand. It's amazing how the rocks are formed into such complex and unique shapes.
Blowing Rocks is a Nature Conservancy Preserve and is just North of Coral Cove Park on Jupiter Island on the Atlantic Coast.

This scene reminds me of Turner's paintings. You just need a foggy afternoon, a phone camera, and a willingness to find beauty in ordinary places. There is no editing, WYSIWYG.
Needed a mid week break so set out for a drive after work. Headed west toward German Valley and back and back around for supper in Woden. Enjoy the evening drive.
after a week of grey and rainy wheather I hope for sunshine this weekend.

Need to design and build legs to hold it out when needed. Need to lower the rail about 2 inches tomorrow.
Been getting tired of the same old shots, so I've been experimenting a little lately. Please let me know what you think. View large for better detail
Just a shot of the blushing I did on my Chicline boy's hands. I kept it simple, but the photo washed out a lot of color. :P Seeing doll parts like this amuses me. On to more serious stuff!
Bench Warmers Needed
In testing out a newly acquired Nikon D800 body, I was passing through a rural area atop the Niagara Escarpment a bit West of Grassie, Ontario, a small village South of Grimsby, Ontario and spotted a playground that had been covered in ice from a freezing rain storm that passed through a few days prior. Among the installations was an aluminum bleacher adjacent to a baseball diamond. The bleacher was covered in nice rows of icicles. Definitely not a place to sit now. As for the weather, it was very dull and damp and the grey skies lent a monochromatic look to the area. The image, however, is full colour ins spite of appearances. - JW

In defence of the weathered fence, it does sit so very close to the beach and takes a good old bashing from the weather!!
