I went to Janet last night for a much needed night out. the past few weeks have had a few ups and downs. to much to do no time to do it kind of thing.
Add to that not being bothered about doing much of this ( gets a bit too normal need to step away at times) so a kick up the backside was what I needed.

Hopefully you will have more luck getting checks than they did. There are a few of these 'mailboxes' around Kaskaskia state wildlife refuge in southern IL.
I have never see any checks, but I have seen these falling over [of their own accord] and even missing.
Maybe a new coat of paint ?
Mercedes-Benz museum, Stuttgart, Deutschland.
So, today I’m advertising for Mercedes-Benz. Do they need it? No…But I thought it’d be fun! A lot could be said about this company and how important it has been in the automobile industry. The claimed invention of the automobile, the first omnibus, the first heavy-duty truck, the first diesel engine, the first vehicles fitted with ABS and ESP…
The famous Mercedes-Benz sign was adopted as early as 1909 and represents the 3 places where Daimler wanted to use his engines: earth, sea and air.
I think that the car in the foreground is the famous 1955 Mercedes-Benz W 196 R 2.5-liter streamlined. this car was already 290 HP and could go up to 190mph!!

In photography, panning refers to the horizontal movement or rotation of a still or video camera, or the scanning of a subject horizontally on video or a display device. Panning a camera results in a motion similar to that of someone shaking their head "no" or of an aircraft performing a yaw rotation.

Actually, I don't think you'd get far with this driver but it was a cool prop in front of the Park Central hotel in South Beach Miami. :)

Not a good photo. I know that, but for me that is secondary. I needed this picture as a reminder to myself.
I met a woman under the tracks yesterday while I was dropping off breakfast. As I was talking to Tommy and Hillbilly, I asked the woman if she wanted some breakfast. She backed away and declined. Tommy said to her, "You don't have to worry, he's good people." I asked her again, reassuring her that I was not looking for anything in return. She quietly accepted.
I brought breakfast back and handed it to her. She was wearing a garbage bag as a coat, and Saran Wrap for socks. Slippers, no shoes. I asked her if she need any clothes. She looked to Tommy and Hillbilly, almost for guidance. I said "I'll be right back."
Luckily, I had a nice winter coat in her size in my trunk. A couple of hoodies, sweaters, and socks. I put it all in a bag and brought it back to her.
Her eyes were slightly incredulous. "I can have these?" I told her that I would bring more today.
I found out she lives in a broken down van on the street with her wife, Nate, and a dog (pitbull). I had a box with boots, more socks, pants, sweats, and a few cans of dog food and a bowl. I made sure to remove my mask and back away from the van after I knocked. I understand a woman being a little "hesitant" to open her car door at 6 am for a man she doesn't know. I don't blame her, so I stay respectful of that.
Nate opened the door, not knowing who I was. I told her how I had met her partner the day before, and what I had brought with. Her wariness changed to a slight smile when she opened the box. I told I would start coming around with breakfast, and if they need anything, just ask and I'll get what I can. My friends tend to be VERY generous and understanding.
This was probably the best I've felt in a while in the morning. It gets tiring waking up at 4 am, but to know that someone who has pretty much been kicked in the ass by life can smile at least for a couple of minutes, makes it worth it.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I think I may have lived up to that today.
I need toys, to make my days better. I need toys who have soul, and I think all of them have, those toys that live here I mean.
Then for photographing I need props, lots of them. Little led lights are always so handy.

This is the first of at least ten positive vignettes. Keep your eyes peeled for them!
