Skeeter found navigating and pointing out sights of interest very exhausting and curled up behind Bakko Brat as she drove through Michigan, Indiana and Chicago Illinois. It started to rain a few times and he would lift his head up and meow, telling us to keep the noise down and then fall back to sleep. Skeeter is an amazing Tabby and Bakko will tell you more on her pictures.
I work for a large global multi-lateral institution which lends billions of dollars for development projects world wide as a Communications Specialist and Online Producer. In my work, I create everything from social media posts, blog posts, infographics, twitter cards, campaign brand images, and everything in-between. As a creative professional, one thing I’ve had to grapple with is the level of bureaucracy that I face in my work daily. The majority of my clients do not have a background in design and often need convincing when it comes to graphic images or artistic decisions. My strategy that I have used in working with my picky clients has three parts: holding myself accountable to produce high quality work, being flexible and open minded, identify and have someone back up my creative opinion.
To quote the esteemed and legendary American graphic designer Paula Scher, the difficulty lies not in creating a design but in convincing clients that it is in their interest to adopt a particular design or creative direction. I also strive to produce the highest quality work that I can produce given the circumstances and provide at least a few options for my clients to choose from. When I create a design, I always want the process to be a collaborative so that I take all of the clients’ wishes and concerns into consideration. Finally, I always try to have the blessings of a second opinion whether it is from another expert of through A/B poll testing to gauge an audience’s perception to the design. So far, I have been a very prolific with my digital design work gracing several campaigns and used for various online marketing efforts.

We were fortunate to borrow maps from friends who had previously paddled the Snake; we benefitted from their notes about the good camping and hiking spots.
