I love how birds tuck their beaks away when they want to sleep and am amazed at how pelicans can actually manage to hide all of theirs!
Notice the duck on the edge of the waterfall??? Yes, she's really SLEEPING there!
This duck had certainly selected very interesting place for having a nap. Maybe the water flow provided nice sleepy feel but for me this looks like extremely slippery and uncomfortable place to sleep.
And before somebody asks: NO, the duck was really there, this picture is not composition of two separate pictures.

He's now 2+.. we figured it's high time he moved out of his crib and into a regular bed.. except we are deathly afraid that given a regular bed he'd roll out of it and fall and hurt himself ("he does gymnastics in his sleep" is an apt description)..
so instead we setup his new mattress on the floor, and just let him sleep on that. Given the new colourful playmat that surrounds his new bed, and the fact that he isn't imprisoned like he was in the crib he happily obliged!
If you ever have the pleasure of being called a dog, say thank you. These loveable creatures have it made in the shade.
We drove almost 3 hours from Manila to Laiya, Batangas. Taking a nap on one of the cottages along the beach after a long travel was worth it. This pregnant lady needed a good rest.
This is our resident attic squirrel, Purina. We've tried to 'catch and release' her/him to a more appropriate location with no success at all. Several former entrances holes to our house have been blocked with wire but this clever squirrel (I suspect female) quickly returns. I've come to terms with her presence knowing that s/he will leave the house, at least temporarily, if I bang loudly on the ceiling--with a long canoe paddle! I'm clever, too! When not in the attic, she enjoys napping in a huge white pine just outside the window. Life is good for Purina!
